This standard is modified to adopt ISO2194:1991 "Methods for marking industrial mesh wire woven mesh, perforated sheet and electroformed sheet and basic size series of mesh holes" (English version). The main changes are as follows: Appendix A is added to make the standard easier to implement. This standard replaces GB/T10611-1989 "Mesh hole size series for industrial mesh". Compared with GB/T10611-1989, the main changes of this standard are as follows: the content of Table 2 is adjusted, and the content of Table 3 is supplemented; the marking method is added.
Appendix A of this standard is an informative appendix. This standard is proposed by the China Machinery Industry Federation. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Screen Screening and Particle Sorting Methods (CSBTS/TC168). The drafting units of this standard are: Mechanical Science Research Institute, State-owned No. 540 Factory. The main drafters of this standard are: Yu Fang, Dong Wei, and Wu Guochuan. This standard is interpreted by the Secretariat of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Screen Screening and Particle Sorting Methods. The previous versions of the standards replaced by this standard are: GB/T10611-1989.

This standard specifies the marking method and mesh size series of industrial metal wire woven mesh, perforated plate and electroformed sheet. This standard applies to metal mesh such as industrial metal wire woven mesh, welded mesh, perforated plate and electroformed sheet; it also applies to non-metallic mesh made by various processing methods.

The terms and definitions in this standard adopt those in GB/T15602. 4 Marking method
4.1 Overview
In the mesh size series, when it is equal to or greater than 1mm, the unit is expressed in millimeters (mm); when it is less than 1mm, the unit is expressed in micrometers (μm). 4.2 Wire mesh
Wire mesh should be marked with the basic mesh size, weaving type, nominal size d and wire material. 4.3 Perforated plate
Perforated plate should be marked with the basic mesh size z (distance between the midpoints of opposite sides or mesh diameter), mesh shape (square hole, round hole or other regular geometric shape), plate thickness and perforated plate material. It is recommended to use the perforated plate marking method specified in GB/T10061. 4.4 Electroformed sheet
Electroformed sheet should be marked with the basic mesh size, mesh shape (square hole or round hole) and the name "electroformed". Its holes are made by electromachining.
5 Mesh size series
5.1 The mesh size is divided into the first series, the second series and the third series, which are R10, R20 and R40 respectively. The first series (R10) is preferred. For the size series with mesh size less than 50um, they are R'10, R20 and R'40. 5.2 See Table 1 and Table 2 for the size series of mesh. 5.3 Method of expressing size units
For mesh size equal to or greater than 1mm, the unit is expressed in millimeter (mm) (see Table 1); for mesh size less than 1mm, the unit is expressed in micrometer (μm) (see Table 2 and Table 3). 1
