This standard replaces JB/T6303—1992 "Technical Parameters and Requirements for Calcium Carbide Furnace Transformers". This standard should be used in conjunction with JB/T5344.1-2004 "General Principles for Submerged Arc Furnace Transformers": Compared with JB/T6303-1992, the main changes of this standard are as follows: -- The writing format is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T1.1-2000 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Writing Rules of Standards", Table 1 and Table 3 are merged into Table 1, and Table 2 and Table 4 are merged into Table 2 (see Chapter 3): The product performance parameters are modified: no-load loss, load loss are reduced by an average of 15%, no-load current is reduced by an average of 30%, and short-circuit impedance is reduced by an average of about 15% (Tables 1 to 4 of the 1992 edition: Tables 1 and 2 of this edition): -- Appendix A is cancelled.

3.3 The calcium carbide furnace transformer with a rated capacity of 20000kVA50000kVA can be composed of three single-phase calcium carbide furnace transformers to form a three-phase calcium carbide furnace transformer group. The rated capacities of the single-phase calcium carbide furnace transformers are 6667kVA, 8333kVA, 10500kVA, 13333kVA, and 16667kVA respectively: their performance parameters are determined by the manufacturer and the user through negotiation. 4 Technical requirements and other regulations
4.1 The technical requirements of the calcium carbide furnace transformer shall comply with the provisions of JB/T5344.1. 4.2 The test items and methods, marking, packaging, transportation and storage and other requirements of the calcium carbide furnace transformer shall comply with the provisions of JB/T5344.1.
