This standard specifies the technical requirements for thick-walled multilayer plain bearing backings. Its purpose is to ensure good adhesion between the plain bearing alloy and the bearing backing.
This standard applies to thick-walled bearings in which the plain bearing alloy is cast on the bearing backing or the bearing seat hole. 2 Reference standards

3 Bearing backing materials
The materials used for thick-walled multi-layer sliding bearing backing are generally steel, cast steel, cast iron, and cast copper alloy. 3.1 Steel and cast steel
In order to facilitate the bonding of bearing alloy and steel backing, the bearing backing needs to be heat treated to eliminate internal stress before casting the bearing alloy. The steel backing material should be 10, 15, 20, 25 steel specified in GB699. The cast steel backing material should be ZG 200-400 specified in GB11352.
3.2 Cast iron
Cast iron backing materials should generally be HT250 or other grades of cast iron specified in GB9439, but the ferrite structure or coarse ferrite structure content should be greater than 85%. Its chemical composition is: Si<2.5%
C≤3.35%
3.3 Cast copper
Cast copper backing materials - generally should be ZCuSn5Pb5Zn5 or ZCuSn10Pb1 specified in GB1176.4 Requirements for the inner surface of the bearing back before the bearing alloy is cast 4.1 The inner surface roughness of the bearing back before the bearing alloy is cast R. =3.2~6.3μm. 4.2 Before casting the bearing alloy, there should be no oil stains and oxide scale on the inner surface of the bearing back. Approved by the State Bureau of Technical Supervision on February 21, 1994368
