This standard applies to commercial kidney beans, rainbow beans, bamboo beans and haricot beans transferred between provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government. 1 Mixing
The total limit for mixing kidney beans, beans, bamboo beans and haricot beans, as well as mixing with other starchy beans is 10.0%. Mixed kidney beans, mixed cowpeas, mixed bamboo beans and mixed haricot beans exceed the total limit. 2 Quality Standard
2.1 Kidney beans, cowpeas, bamboo beans and haricot beans are classified according to the pure grain rate. The grade index and other quality indexes are shown in the table below. Pure grain rate, %

2.2 For kidney beans, cowpeas, polished rice beans and lentils, the second grade is the medium standard, and those below the third grade are substandard kidney beans, cowpeas, polished rice beans and lentils. 2.3 Sanitary standards and animal and plant quarantine items shall be implemented in accordance with relevant national regulations. 3 Survey Explanation
3.1 Pure grain rate: the percentage of kidney beans, rainbow beans, polished rice beans and lentils weight after removing impurities (including half of the imperfect grains) to the weight of the sample. 3.2 Imperfect grains include the following grains that still have edible value: 3.2.1 Unripe grains: grains that are not full, wrinkled to 1/2 or more of the grain surface, and significantly different from normal grains. 3.2.2 Insect-damaged grains: grains that are damaged by insects and frogs and damage the cotyledons. 3.2.3 Diseased grains: grains with diseased spots on the grain surface and damage to the cotyledons. 3.2.4 Broken kernels: kernels with incomplete, cross-sectioned, crushed, or broken cotyledons. 3.2.5 Sprouting kernels: kernels with sprouts or young roots breaking through the seed coat. 3.2.6 Moldy kernels: kernels with poison on the kernel surface or discolored or deteriorated cotyledons. 3.3 Impurities, including the following:
3.3.1 Screened matter: matter that passes through a 3.0mm diameter round hole sieve for kidney beans; matter that passes through a 2.0mm diameter round hole sieve for cowpeas, refined rice beans, and fan beans.
3.3.2 Inorganic impurities: soil, sand, gravel, bricks and tiles, and other inorganic substances. 3.3.3 Organic impurities: kidney beans, beans, refined rice beans, lentils, grains of foreign grains (except starchy beans) that have no edible value.
