Summary:

JB/T 3168.2-1999 This standard is a revision of JB 3169-82 "Determination of hardness and particle size of spray-welded alloy powder". During the revision, only editorial changes were made according to relevant regulations, and the technical content was not changed. This standard specifies the determination method of the material size of spray-welded alloy powder and the hardness of the spray-welded layer. This standard is applicable to plasma spray welding and oxyacetylene flame spray welding alloy powder. This standard was first issued on December 3, 1982. This standard is a revision of JB3169-82 "Determination of hardness and particle size of spray welding alloy powder". Only editorial changes were made to the original standard during the revision, and its main technical content remained unchanged. This standard replaces JB3169-82 from the date of implementation. This standard is proposed and managed by the National Technical Committee for Welding Standardization. The responsible drafting units of this standard are: Harbin Welding Research Institute and Tianjin General Company Metrology Station. The main drafters of this standard are Sun Yujiu and Zhao Xingru. This standard was issued in 1982, and this revision is the first revision. 1
1 Scope
Mechanical Industry Standard of the People's Republic of China
Determination of hardness and particle size of alloy powder for spray welding
Alloy powder for welding Determination of hardness and particle size This standard specifies the determination method of the particle size of alloy powder for spray welding and the hardness of the spray welding layer. This standard is applicable to alloy powder for plasma spray welding and oxyacetylene flame spray welding. 2 Referenced standards

The provisions contained in the following standards constitute the provisions of this standard through reference in this standard. When this standard is published, the versions shown are valid. All standards will be revised, and parties using this standard should explore the possibility of using the latest version of the following standards. GB/T230—1991 Metal Rockwell Hardness Test Method 3 Hardness Determination
Hardness determination is to spray a certain thickness of the tested alloy powder on the parent material, and after fine processing of the spray welding layer, it is tested like the ordinary metal hardness test method.
3.1 Sample preparation
3.1.1 Parent material
Low carbon steel.
3.1.2 Parent material shape and size
Long strip 80mm×30mm×18mm; round diameter 80mm×18mm. 3.1.3 Requirements for the parent material of the sample
The parent material of the sample must be new and machined. The surface roughness R value is required to be 12.5um, and the surface is free of oil, cracks, pits and other mechanical damage.
3.1.4 Number of samples
Generally, one sample is sprayed for each batch of powder.
3.1.5 Size of the spray welding layer
The plasma spray welding layer should be 60mmX20mm×3mm3.1.6 Post-spray welding processing requirements
After the spray welding layer cools down, the bottom surface should be processed first, and the inspection surface should be processed by micro-feeding, and the coolant should be added to fully cool it. The surface roughness R value of the spray welding layer after processing is 0.8μm, and the thickness of the weld layer after processing is not less than 1.5mm. 3.2 Hardness determination
The hardness value of the spray welding layer should be determined according to the provisions of GB/T230. The test points should be selected from 5 points evenly distributed on the center line of the spray welding layer surface, but defects, arc starting points and arc closing points should be avoided. If the hardness values of 4 of the 5 points are within the range specified in the standard, it is judged to be qualified. If there are less than 4 points, the sample should be doubled for re-inspection. If one sample does not meet the above requirements after re-inspection, it will be judged as unqualified. 4 Particle size determination
4.1 Equipment
4.1.1 Standard sieve
Select three standard sieve numbers from the BO6511 standard sieve, with sieve hole sizes of 71μm, 106μm, and 300μm respectively.
2 Vibrating screen
Select BO6611 vibrating screen.
4.1.3 Balance
Weigh 100g, sensitivity 0.1g
Determination method
Weigh 100g ± 0.1g powder sample, pour into the top sieve, cover it, place it on the vibrating sieve machine, vibrate for 5 minutes, weigh the weight of the powder on each sieve surface and in the bottom plate respectively, the error is within 0.1g. Record its weight, the total weight shall not be less than 99% of the original powder sample weight Take 3 samples of the same powder, measure the percentage of the powder on the sieve and the powder under the sieve to the total weight of the powder sample respectively, and then calculate the average value of the 3 samples as the particle size value of this powder.
