Summary:

This standard specifies the dimensions, shape, weight and permissible deviation, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificates of hot-rolled and hot-forged structural steels with guaranteed hardenability. This standard applies to hot-rolled and hot-forged structural steel bars with guaranteed hardenability and a diameter or thickness of not less than 30 mm for machinery manufacturing. The hardenability of steel is measured by the end quenching method or calculated by the formula.
