GB/T 5216-2004 Guaranteed hardenability structural steel

This standard specifies the dimensions, shape, weight and permissible deviation, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificates of hot-rolled and hot-forged structural steels with guaranteed hardenability. This standard applies to hot-rolled and hot-forged structural steel bars with guaranteed hardenability and a diameter or thickness of not less than 30 mm for machinery manufacturing. The hardenability of steel is measured by the end quenching method or calculated by the formula. This amendment was approved by the National Standardization Committee on December 27, 2001 with the document No. 75 of National Standard No. 1 (2004), and will be implemented on May 1, 2005. Standard name: GB/T5216-2004 "Ensure Hardenability Structural Steel" The carbon content of 15CrMoH grade (serial number 15) in Table 1 is changed from 0.17%-0.23% to 0.12%0.18%.
