1 Subject content and scope of application
This standard is for shaft sealing devices used in stirring vessels in industries such as chemical, petrochemical, dye, and pharmaceutical industries. Its nominal pressure PN<0.1MPa. It is suitable for medium temperature<200℃ and axis speed<1m/s.

3 Technical requirements
The surface roughness parameter value of the shaft in contact with the stuffing box shall not exceed Ra0.8um(/)
After the stuffing box is assembled, it shall be subjected to water pressure test and running gas tightness test together with the equipment. The test pressure and tightness requirements shall be in accordance with the equipment assembly drawing. 3.0.3 The mechanical properties of studs and nuts should be selected according to the national standards of 4.8 and 4 respectively, and the mechanical properties of washers should be 140HV. 20
4 Explanation
The packing is soft packing, which can be selected according to the operating requirements with reference to Appendix II, and 4.0.11
indicated on the equipment assembly drawing.
4.0.2 Marking example
The normal pressure carbon steel stuffing box with a nominal diameter of 50mm is marked as: stuffing box DN50HG21537.3-92—3
The various specifications of stuffing boxes in this standard should be marked according to the provisions of Table 4.0.3 when selected. 4.0.32
