This standard applies to the general requirements for paints for petroleum drilling and production machinery, instruments, meters and other products. If there are special requirements, they should be indicated in the product drawings and relevant technical conditions.
2 Varieties and colors of paint
2.1 Varieties of paint
a. Selection of primers: red lead anti-rust paint, iron red alcohol primer, perchlorethylene primer, red lead alkyd anti-rust paint, nitro primer, iron red phenolic enamel, zinc yellow epoxy primer, rust primer, electrophoretic primer, etc. b. Selection of topcoats: alcohol enamel, phenolic primer, perchlorethylene enamel, nitro enamel, amino baking enamel, polyurethane, acrylic paint, mixed paint, art paint (hammer paint, wrinkle paint, orange peel, glitter paint), etc. 2.2 Paint colors
The paint colors include orange-red, red, light apricot red, lemon yellow, light yellow, light yellow, ivory yellow, yellow, orange yellow, light rice yellow, dark yellow, brown yellow, cream, pearl white, gray, machine tool gray, silver gray, medium gray, light gray, blue gray, steel gray, lilac gray, dark gray, green, grass green, apple green, fruit green, bright green, light gray green, gray green, dark green, sky blue, light blue, light blue, medium blue, light gray blue, light basket blue, blue, acid blue, brown, light camel, brown, black, white, aluminum, etc. 2.3 The paint types and colors of the product surface shall comply with the requirements of the drawings and relevant technical documents, and shall also comply with the requirements of this standard. 2.4 The paint colors of the main engine and auxiliary engine of the complete set of products should be consistent, beautiful and harmonious in color. 2.5 The outer cylindrical surfaces of the base, belt pulley groove, wire rope pulley groove, winch drum and dead cat head of the product and the internal lever system of the product should generally be painted black.
2.6 For the fast rotating parts exposed to the outside without protection, such as flywheel, sprocket, belt pulley, gear, travel clutch, roller and other end parts, they should be painted red to attract attention. 2.7 The outer surfaces of the connectors, safety valves and various insurance air valves used for safety devices, oil nozzles, oil filling holes, oil cups, oil plugs, oilers, pressure square lubricators, etc., are all painted with red topcoat (glass oil cups are not painted). 2.8 The inner surfaces of the oil-containing parts, such as the oil tank, reducer housing, and the inner surfaces of the bearing cover, should be painted with red paint or yellow paint. 2.9 Paint color regulations for various pipelines
a. Oil pipeline:

2.10 For products used in marine climate areas, the primer should be zinc yellow anti-rust paint and the topcoat should be hull paint. 2.11 The type and color of the paint on the inner surface of the product should comply with the requirements of the drawings and relevant technical documents. If there is no requirement, red alkyd enamel or cream alkyd enamel can be applied.
3 Preparation before painting
3.1 The surface of the product to be painted must be inspected before construction. Rust, scale, burrs, iron filings, sand adhesion, welding slag, etc. that affect the quality of the paint must be cleaned up. Construction can only be carried out after passing the inspection. 3.2 Before painting, the surface to be painted should be reasonably treated (mechanical treatment, chemical treatment, manual treatment, etc.) according to the purpose of the product, the use environment and the performance characteristics of the paint, so as to improve the quality of the paint. 3.3 Before painting, rust, moisture, dust and oil stains on the surface to be painted should be removed. 3.4 After the surface is treated, the primer should be applied immediately, and it should not exceed 24 hours. 3.5 Before painting, the type of paint used must be checked according to the drawings and relevant technical documents. Paints and thinners that do not match the model or are expired and deteriorated shall not be used.
3,6 The main parts of the product coating surface shall not have spots, scars, uneven defects, if there are defects, must be puttyed and sanded flat, and can be painted after passing the inspection. 3.7 Requirements for puttying quality
3.7.1 Putty paint should be mixed with glue and polished to make it evenly separated. 3,.2 Putty used for primer must be firmly attached to the machine part or product coating surface. For coating surfaces that need to be leveled multiple times, it should be scraped and applied in batches, and the thickness of each putty should not exceed 0.5mm. Each scraping should be done after the previous layer of putty is dry. Other fillers that reduce the quality should not be added to the putty.
3.7.3 There should be no particles or scratches on the putty surface. 3.7.4. Putty and materials should have good matching. 3.8 When filling putty or grinding putty, putty or abrasive should be prevented from falling into the product. 4 Technical requirements for painting construction
4.1 The last coat of painting of the whole product should be carried out after operation and adjustment and after passing the inspection. Parts that are inconvenient or cannot be painted after assembly can be painted before assembly after passing the inspection. Parts that need to be welded during assembly should not be painted before assembly. 4.2 When the paint film of the product is damaged due to assembly, operation and adjustment, the loose paint film at the damaged part should be scraped off, and then the paint should be repaired with a tube of paint.
4.3 Painting construction should be carried out in a clean, dry, well-ventilated and well-lit place. In strong sunlight and bad weather, necessary measures should be taken to ensure the quality of painting, otherwise construction shall not be carried out. A good environment for painting construction is: temperature 15~25\C, relative humidity not more than 70%. 4.4 Before the paint is dry, the oil surface should be protected to prevent oil, water, dust and dirt from falling on it: and damage to the paint surface should be avoided. 4.5 The non-painted surface of the product should be covered tightly before painting to prevent paint from being applied. 4.6 The boundary of the intersection of different colors of paint on the surface of the product must be flat and clear, and there must be no irregular interlaced lines when there is no special regulation.
4. Each coat of paint must be fully dried before the next coat of paint can be applied. 4.8 Painting tools (paint brushes, paint spray guns, paint buckets, etc.) must be kept clean, the compressed air used for spraying should be clean, and an oil-water separator should be installed in the air passage of the spraying equipment to regularly drain the separated oil and water. 4.9 After the paint is applied, the paint film should adhere firmly to the coating surface, and there should be no defects such as stickiness, brittle cracks, peeling, wrinkles, bubbles, spots, and adherent 2

granular impurities. The appearance of the paint film should be uniform, delicate, smooth, and consistent in color, without flow marks and obvious brush marks. 4.10 Products shall not be assembled or put into storage without inspection of coating. 4.11

5.3 Adhesion test: Use a sharp knife to make a ten-shaped crack on the paint film, and peel down along the edge of the crack. If the whole paint film easily falls off from the coating surface, it is unqualified. When the quality requirements for the product paint film are high, it can be carried out according to the national standard GB1720 "Paint film adhesion test method". 5.4 Stickiness test: Touch the painted surface lightly with your hand. If it is not sticky, it is qualified. 5.5 Hardness test: Use your fingernails to scratch the paint mold. If there is no obvious concave scratch, it is qualified. 5.6 Flexibility test, use a sharp knife to scrape off the paint film. If the scraped paint chips do not break or stick together, but curl up, it is qualified. When the requirements for the flexibility of the paint film are high, GB1731 "Determination of paint film flexibility" should be followed. 5.7 Thickness inspection: It can be inspected according to the national standard GB1764 "Determination of paint film thickness". 5.B Impact strength inspection. III According to the national standard GB1732 "Determination of paint film impact resistance". 5.9 Gloss inspection: It can be carried out and tested. When the requirements for the gloss of the paint film are high, GB1743 "Determination of film gloss" should be followed. 5.10 Weather resistance inspection: It can be carried out according to the national standard GB1767 "Determination of Weather Resistance of Paint Film".
