This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, inspection rules and markings of bottom suction grilles. This standard applies to bottom suction grilles for various types of ships. 2 Product Classification
2.1 The types and nominal diameters of bottom suction grilles shall be in accordance with Table 1. Table 1

3.2A and B type grilles and grille seats must be hot dip galvanized, and their thickness shall not be less than 430g/m2; C and D type grilles and grille seats shall be hot dip galvanized, and the thickness may be appropriately thinner than that of A and B types.
The grilles shall be fixed with bolts and the bolt tails shall be sealed with epoxy. Inspection rules
Each grille shall be inspected by the manufacturer's technical inspection department for the materials, dimensions and appearance used before leaving the factory, and a certificate of conformity shall be issued. Markings
The grille shall have the following markings:
Manufacturer's mark;
Product mark;
Inspection pass stamp.
