1 Subject content and scope of application
This standard is for shaft sealing devices used in stirred vessels in industries such as chemical, petrochemical, dye, and pharmaceutical industries. It is suitable for use in situations where the nominal pressure PN is ≤ 0.6MPa, the allowable operating pressure is -0.03~0.6MPa, and the medium temperature is -200℃. It is suitable for corrosive media.

3 Technical requirements
The connection between the flange of the stuffing box body and the flange on the equipment is a convex-concave connection 3.0.1
The stuffing box body is convex, and the equipment flange is required to be concave, with a fit of H8/h7. The connection surface size is shown in the value of DD3 in Table 2-2 3.0.2 The verticality tolerance of the tight surface of the body flange and the equipment flange and the axis is in accordance with the 8th grade accuracy of GB1184-80.
3.0.3 The surface roughness parameter value of the shaft in contact with the packing shall not exceed Ra0.8μm ()
3.0.4 After the packing box is assembled, it must be subjected to a water pressure test and an operating air tightness test together with the equipment. The test pressure and tightness requirements shall be in accordance with the equipment assembly drawing. 3.0.5 The mechanical properties of studs and screws shall be selected according to the national standard 6.8 and 33H respectively: the mechanical properties of nuts shall be selected according to the national standard 6, and the mechanical properties of washers shall be selected according to 140HV. 13
4 Explanation
4.0.1 The packing shall be a soft packing, which shall be selected according to the operating conditions and shall be indicated on the equipment assembly drawing. The packing shall not be used directly after being cut from the packing, but shall be processed and pressed into a ring-shaped packing before use to improve the sealing performance. 4.0.2 The sealing performance of the stuffing box and the service life of the stuffing are not only related to the selected stuffing material, but also to the geometric tolerance of the equipment to the shaft, the surface roughness of the shaft at the stuffing, the hardness, etc. The designer must make corresponding requirements according to the operating conditions to ensure it. 4.0.3 For the selection of soft stuffing, please refer to the "Stuffing Material Performance Table" in Appendix 2 of this standard.
Two grades of stainless steel components of the stuffing box are used, as shown in Table 4.0.4. Table 4.0.4

4.0.5 This standard stuffing box adopts oil lubrication, and the lubricating oil will flow into the container along the shaft. Therefore, for materials that are not allowed to be contaminated, an oil storage cup should be set on the lower shaft of the stuffing box.
4.0.6 Marking example
A stainless steel stuffing box with a nominal diameter of 90 mm and a material of 0Cr18Ni11Ti is marked as:
