3.1 Before inspecting the outer dimensions of the weld, the weld and both sides must be cleared of slag, spatter and other contaminants. The inspection of weld dimensions is mainly carried out with the naked eye and with the help of relevant auxiliary measuring tools. Ensure good lighting during inspection. 3.2
The groove form and size of the weld shall comply with the relevant provisions of GB985 and GB986. 3.4 The marking of the outer dimensions of the weld shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant provisions of GB324. 4 Dimensions
4.1 The appearance of the weld should be uniform, and the transition between weld beads and weld beads and the base metal should be smooth. I-shaped groove butt welds (including I-shaped butt welds with backing plates) are shown in Figure 1. The weld width c=b+2a and reinforcement h value should comply with the requirements of Table 1 of 4.2
Figure 1
4.3 Non-I-shaped groove butt welds (various butt groove forms of welds in GB985 and GB986 except I-shaped grooves) are shown in Figure 2. The weld width c=g+2α and reinforcement h value should comply with the requirements in Table 1. State Bureau of Technical Supervision approved the implementation on 1990-01-01 on 1989-03-31
