This standard is revised from CB209-64 "Pipe hangers" and CB'3211-83 "U-type pipe clamps for marine steel pipes". With the advancement of shipbuilding technology, the installation requirements for ship pipelines are also increasing. The pipe hangers specified in CB209--64 are relatively backward and have no construction drawings, which makes it difficult to implement the standard; the U-type pipe clamps specified in CB'3211-83 are relatively simple and cannot meet the needs of export ships and ocean-going ships. The revised standard simplifies the type specifications of CB209-64 from 8 types and 219 specifications to 3 types and 36 specifications. The type specifications of CB3211-83 are increased from 4 types and 82 specifications to 6 types and 135 specifications. This is conducive to the selection of various ship types.
This standard replaces CB209-64 and CB'3211-83 from the date of entry into force. Appendix A of this standard is a prompt appendix.
This standard is proposed by the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Marine Machinery Pipe System Accessories Sub-Technical Committee. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the Comprehensive Technical and Economic Research Institute of China State Shipbuilding Corporation. The drafting unit of this standard: Dalian Shipbuilding New Plant Ship Research Institute; Jiangnan Shipyard participated. The main drafters of this standard: Qiu Jinquan, Ma Hengen. This standard is provided with unified construction drawings.

This standard is revised from CB209-64 "Pipe hangers" and CB'3211-83 "U-type pipe clamps for marine steel pipes". With the advancement of shipbuilding technology, the installation requirements for ship pipelines are also increasing. The pipe hangers specified in CB209--64 are relatively backward and have no construction drawings, which makes it difficult to implement the standard; the U-type pipe clamps specified in CB'3211-83 are relatively simple and cannot meet the needs of export ships and ocean-going ships. The revised standard simplifies the type specifications of CB209-64 from 8 types and 219 specifications to 3 types and 36 specifications. The type specifications of CB3211-83 are increased from 4 types and 82 specifications to 6 types and 135 specifications. This is conducive to the selection of various ship types.
