1 Subject Content and Scope of Application
This standard specifies the type and dimensions of wire and cable cage twisting equipment. JB/T5817.4-91
This standard applies to the design, manufacture, acceptance, identification and quality assessment of cage twisting equipment for twisting conductors and cable cores of wires and cables. This standard should be used together with JB/T5814.3 Special Equipment for Wires and Cables: Part 3: Wire Twisting Equipment" and JB/T5814.4 Basic Parameters of Special Equipment for Wires and Cables: Part 4: Cabling Equipment". 2 Models
The models of cage twisting machines are shown in Table 1.
2.2 The types of cage twisting machines are: Y-type, C-type, K-type, P-type, and T-type. As shown in Figure 1. 3 Dimensions
3.1 General dimensions

3.1.1 The dimensions of the pay-off drum and take-up drum shall comply with the provisions of GB4004 and GB4005. The technical requirements for PND type drums shall comply with the provisions of JB/DQ8193.
3.1.2 The dimensions of the traction device shall comply with the provisions of JB4032. The dimensions of the take-up device shall comply with the provisions of JB4015. 3.1.3
The dimensions of the wrapping device shall comply with the provisions of JB4033. The dimensions of the transmission device shall comply with the provisions of Table 2 and Figure 2. 3.1.5
