Summary:
JB/T 9832.2-1999 This standard is equivalent to ISO 2409:1972 "Scratch test for paints and varnishes". This standard is a revision of ZB T60 006-89 "Determination of adhesion performance of paint films on agricultural and forestry tractors and machinery - Press-cut method". During the revision, only editorial changes were made according to relevant regulations, and the main technical content remained unchanged. This standard specifies a method for assessing the adhesion by cutting the paint film through to the substrate, cutting it into a square shape, and comparing it with the standard score. This standard is applicable to the determination of the adhesion performance of paint films on agricultural and forestry tractors and machinery to the substrate. This standard was first published on the date of year. This standard specifies the method of evaluating the adhesion by cutting the paint film through the substrate, cutting it into a square shape, and comparing it with the standard classification value.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the adhesion performance of the paint film on the substrate of tractors and machinery for agriculture and forestry. 2 Referenced standards
The provisions contained in the following standards constitute the provisions of this standard through reference in this standard. When this standard was published, the versions shown were all valid. All standards are subject to revision. Parties using this standard should explore the possibility of using the latest version of the following standards. JB/T5673-1991 General Technical Conditions for Painting of Agricultural and Forestry Tractors and Machinery 3 Test Conditions
3.1 The test shall be carried out at an ambient temperature of 23°C ± 2°C and a relative humidity of 50% ± 5%. 3.2 Under the conditions specified in 3.1, the painted specimen shall be placed for at least 16 hours before the test. 3.3 The surface of the painted specimen shall be free of defects such as stains, wrinkles, and scratches. 3.4 The thickness of the paint film shall comply with the relevant provisions of 4.2 in JB/T5673--1991. 4 Equipment
4.1 Ruler: tempered steel ruler with a scale interval of 0.5mm. 4.2 Soft brush.
4.3 Cutting tool: as shown in Figure 1 (the blade must be sharpened again when it is worn to 0.1mm). Approved by the State Bureau of Machinery Industry on August 6, 1999 and implemented on January 1, 2000
5 Test method
JB/T9832.2—1999
30°±1°
a) Cutting tool: single-edge cutter
30°±1°
b) Cutting tool: multi-edge cutter
5.1 Place the test specimen on a solid flat plate or level ground. 30±0.05
Cutting direction
Cutting direction
5.2 Make the cutting tool perpendicular to the surface of the sample, apply uniform pressure on it, and move it steadily at a cutting speed of 20-50mm/s. Cut 6 parallel cuts with a spacing of 1mm and a length of about 20mm. The ruler should be placed on the surface of the sample on the uncut side. The cut will penetrate the surface of the substrate, but it cannot cut too deep into the substrate. If the paint film coating cannot penetrate the substrate because it is too thick and too hard, the test is invalid and it should be stated in the report.
5.3 Overlap the original cut at a 90° angle and cut the same number of parallel cuts to form a checkered pattern. 5.4 After cutting, use a soft brush to gently brush forward and backward along the two diagonals of the checkered pattern 5 times each. 5.5 Check the grid area of the paint film that has fallen off, and estimate the percentage of the grid area occupied by the paint film area that has fallen off. The adhesion performance is graded according to Table 1.
5.6 Repeat the above test on two other different parts of the sample. The results are based on the consistency of the measurements at the three positions; if they are inconsistent, the three positions should be re-measured and all the results should be recorded.
6 Test report
6.1 Name of the paint film of the sample and the substrate.
6.2 Ambient air temperature and humidity during the test.
6.3 Type of cutting tool during the test (single or multiple pieces). 6.4 The percentage of the area occupied by the paint film on the cutting surface, and the level shall be evaluated according to Table 1. 6.5 Test date and personnel.

Classification of test resultsbzxz.net
The cut edge is completely smooth, with no obvious square peeling
There are a few flakes of paint film at the intersection of the cut, and the affected area is obviously not more than 5%. The cut edge or intersection peels off obviously more than 5%, but obviously not more than 15%. Partial and complete peeling along the cut edge or partial and complete peeling at different parts of the grid is obviously more than 15%, but obviously not more than 35%.
Large fragments peel off along the cut edge or some squares partially and completely peel off. Obviously more than 35%, but obviously not more than 65%.
The degree of peeling is obviously more than 65%.
Appearance of paint film in the cutting area
(6 parallel cuts)
