1. 描述某地现在有某事物
教材例句：Look, there are two beautiful cats on the chair. 瞧，椅子上有两只漂亮的猫
句型公式：There is/are + 某事物 (+其他)
用法：当最近的主语是可数单数或不可数名词时用 is；最近的主语是可数复数名词时用 are
例句：There are many beautiful houses in the city. 这座城市里有许多漂亮的房子。There is a beautiful park in our city. 我们的城市里有一个漂亮的公园

2. 描述某人居住在某地
教材例句：We lived in a small house. (那时)我们住在一所小房子里
句型公式：主语 + live(s)/lived (in) + 地点 (+其他)
用法：live 意为“居住”，后面可直接跟表示地点的副词或短语，也可加 in + 名词短语
