General ergonomics requirements for the work seat
1. Subject content and applicable examples
This standard specifies the terminology, structural type, main dimensions and general ergonomics requirements for work seats. GE/T 14774--93
This standard applies to work seats used by operators in general workplaces (including computer rooms, typing rooms, control rooms, switchboards, etc.).
This standard does not apply to office and home chairs, fixed work seats installed on production equipment, driver seats and work seats used in small working spaces. Reference Standards

3.1 Work Seat
A work seat is a seat for sitting workers, which is composed of a support, a waist support, a seat surface and other components. 3.2 Seat surface
The main load-bearing surface of the work seat that directly contacts the buttocks of the person. The work seat has two types: a flexible seat with a cushion and a rigid seat without a cushion.
3.3 Seat cushion
A flexible seat surface composed of elastic material and masking material. 3.4 Seat height
The vertical distance between the highest point of the arch at the front edge of the seat and the horizontal reference plane where the seat support point is located. 3.5 Seat width
The horizontal distance between the left and right edges of the seat surface, passing through the intersection of the seat rotation axis and the seat surface and perpendicular to the left symmetry plane (for seats without a rotation axis, this parameter is measured at half the depth of the seat surface). 3.6 Seat depthwwW.bzxz.Net
The horizontal distance between the front edge of the seat and the vertical line drawn through the lumbar support point in the symmetry plane perpendicular to the seat. 3.7 Lumbar support
A component configured on the seat that mainly supports the waist. 3.8 Lumbar support length
The maximum horizontal distance between the left and right edges of the lumbar support. 3.9 Lumbar support length
The maximum straight-line distance between the upper and lower edges of the lumbar support. Approved by the State Bureau of Technical Supervision on December 24, 1993 and implemented on July 1, 1994
