Summary:
This standard specifies the required sanitary protection distance between lime plants and residential areas. This standard applies to new lime plants located in plains and hilly areas and the expansion and reconstruction of existing lime plants. Existing lime plants can refer to this standard for implementation. The sanitary protection distance in areas with complex terrain conditions should be determined jointly by the competent department of the construction unit and the health and environmental protection authorities of the municipality or autonomous region where the construction project is located based on the atmospheric environment quality evaluation report. All technical contents of this standard are mandatory
The standard for sanitary protection distance of industrial enterprises is a comprehensive standard involving construction planning, overall layout of industrial construction, environmental sanitation and sanitary engineering. Its purpose is to ensure that the pollutants generated by national key industrial enterprises after the project is put into production will not affect the health of people in residential areas. This standard aims at the characteristics of various harmful factors, finds out the occurrence, diffusion, dilution, reduction and degradation characteristics of the factors, and then determines the allowable emission intensity of industrial enterprises based on the best practical technical principles, that is, according to the treatment measures and maintenance management measures that can be achieved at the current economic level of our country, and finally selects the appropriate gas diffusion model and corresponding parameters to determine the required sanitary protection distance. This standard shall be implemented from January 1, 2001. This standard is proposed by the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China. The responsible drafting unit of this standard is: Institute of Environmental Health and Sanitary Engineering, Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine. The main drafters of this standard are: Hu Gengxin, Dou Yansheng, Shao Qiang. This standard is entrusted by the Ministry of Health to the Institute of Environmental Health Monitoring, Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine for interpretation. 244

This standard adopts the following definitions.
2.1 Health protection zone The minimum distance from the boundary of the department (workshop or section) where harmful factors are generated to the boundary of the residential area. 3 Standard content
3.1 The health protection distance of lime shall be determined according to the average wind speed in the area in the past five years as shown in Table 1. Speed, m/s
3.2 This standard also stipulates that the location of lime plants and shops should take into account the influence of factors such as wind direction frequency and terrain to minimize their pollution to the atmospheric environment of residential areas.
