This standard is equivalent to the international standard ISO4815-1980 "Test method for sewing capacity of household sewing machines". Subject content and scope of application
This standard specifies the test materials and apparatus, test methods, test requirements and test reports in the test method for sewing capacity of household sewing machines. This standard is applicable to household sewing machines driven by electric motors, and can also be used for household sewing machines driven by hand or foot. 2 Reference standards
GB406 Technical requirements for natural cotton fabrics
GB6835 Cotton sewing thread
QB/T1514 Household sewing machine needles
3 Test materials and apparatus
3.1 Test materials: Cut into 200mm long and 90mm wide test materials according to the 612 yarn card specified in GB406. 3.2 Sewing thread: Mercerized and Z-directed cotton thread of 12tex/3 specified in GB6835. 3.3 Needle: Nm80 machine zinc specified in QB/T1514. 4 Test methods
4.1 Test principles
Carry out the seam thickness test at the specified sewing speed, sewing thread, needle and test material, and gradually increase the number of test material layers until the requirements of the specified test in Article 5 cannot be met. The number of test material layers it sews is the sewing thickness capability of the sewing machine under test. 4.2 Test conditions
4.2.1 Install the needle plate and presser foot that are supplied with the machine and correspond to the seam according to the manufacturer's instruction manual. 4.2.2 Adjust the pressure of the presser foot according to the manufacturer's instruction manual. If the specific value is not specified in the instruction manual, and there is a presser foot pressure adjustment device for adjustment during use, the pressure when the presser foot is in the lowered position should be adjusted to 18 ± 1N
b. If there is no adjustment device, or if there is an adjustment device but it is not user-adjustable, keep it in the original state fixed by the manufacturer when it leaves the factory.
4.2.3 If there is a feed dog height adjustment device, adjust the feed dog to the highest level. If there is no such device, keep it in the original state fixed by the manufacturer when it leaves the factory.
4.2.4 Adjust the thread tension according to the manufacturer's instruction manual so that the needle and shuttle threads are interlocked between the two layers of sewing material. And adjust the stitch length to 3±0.15mm.
4.3 Test procedure
GB/T 4516--1995
4.3.1 After the two layers of test material are stacked, place them between the presser foot and the needle plate (Figure 1). Figure 1
1-needle plate; 2-feed dog; 3-needle clamp; 4-needle; 5-presser foot; 6-test material
4.3.2 Turn the upper wheel until the needle penetrates the test material and its position is 10mm away from the long side of the test material (Figure 2). 200
4.3.3 At a sewing speed of 200 to 500 stitches per minute, sew 150mm parallel to the long side of the test material. 4.3.4 Determine the actual stitch length.
4.3.5 Add another layer of test material under the original test material, sew them together about 5mm away from the side of the last seam (see Figure 2), without changing the provisions and conditions of Articles 4.2 and 4.3.3. bZxz.net
4.3.6 Measure the actual stitch length again.
4.3.7 Continue the test procedures of Articles 4.3.5 and 4.3.6. 4.3.8 During the sewing process, the machine needle shall not use external force to help it pierce the test material. 4.3.9 If the sewing result does not meet any of the requirements of c, d, and e in Article 5, it is allowed to replace the machine needle and repeat the above sewing for this item.
4.3.10 The test is considered to be completed when the following conditions are found: a.
The machine needle cannot penetrate the test material layer;
GB/T4516-1995
cannot meet the requirements of Article 5, b;
When repeating the test according to the requirements of 4.3.9, it still cannot meet the requirements of Article 5 c, de, and two or more of the three requirements of Article 5 c, d, and e cannot be met. Test requirements
The needle clamp does not touch the presser foot;
The stitch length is shortened by no more than 20%;
No skipped stitches;
No thread breakage:
No broken needles.
Test report
The test report shall include the following contents
Number of this standard
Model and number of the sewing machine under test:
Test speed of the sewing machine;
Specifications of the test material, suture and needle,
Test result value: Maximum number of test material layers that can be sewn, manufacturer's name,
