This standard specifies the recommended dimensions of the cross section and horizontal section length of the hook type forks given in GB5184-85 "Installation dimensions of hook type forks and fork carriages for forklifts". Hook-type forks
2.1 Width and thickness
Whenever possible, the width 6 and thickness α of the fork shall be selected from the recommended series of sizes in Table 1 and Table 2 (see figure), and the entire fork shall comply with the requirements of GB5182-85 "Technical requirements and tests for forklift forks". Table 1

2.2 Cross-section

2.3 Basic length
GB 5188-85
The length of the horizontal section of the fork 1 (see figure) is related to the length of the goods being transported and should be selected from Table 4. Table 4

The hook dimensions and their positions on the vertical section of the fork are all specified in GB5148-85 "Installation dimensions of forklift hook-type fork frames".
