This standard is for the implementation The Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China and the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Noise Pollution are formulated to control the wide-area noise hazards of industrial enterprises.
1 Scope of application of the standard

1.2 Delimitation of applicable scope of various standards
Daytime

1.2.11 standards are applicable to areas dominated by residences and cultural and educational institutions.
1.2.2 Class II standards are applicable to residential, commercial, industrial mixed areas and commercial central areas. 1.2.3 Category II standards apply to industrial areas.
