The ability of a unit to perform its specified functions under specified operating conditions and within a specified time. 2.2
ReliabilityThe probability that a unit will perform its specified functions under specified operating conditions and within a specified time. 2.3
Failure
Any component of a unit that fails to perform its specified functions or causes the change in performance to exceed a specified value under specified operating conditions is considered a failure.
Service life ife
refers to the time interval of unacceptable failure of a repairable product under specified conditions of use. 25
meantimeFirstTailurL refers to the average working time of a repairable product from the beginning of use to the occurrence of a failure. 2.6
