Subject content and scope of application
This standard specifies the key points for materials professionals to participate in inspections at the manufacturing plant site and construction site, and is applicable to design management and project management.
2 Participate in and review the welding process assessment of special materials 2.0.1
Inspect the original data of the parent material and welding materials used for welding. Check the type and size of the welding joint and the welding parameters. 2.0.3
Participate in the processing of welding test plates and the inspection of sample production on site. Various performance tests of the samples, such as chemical composition, mechanical properties, metallographic structure, corrosion resistance test, etc. 2.0.4
2.0.5 If all meet the requirements, confirm the welding process assessment; if some parts do not meet the requirements, make up or redo them until they meet the requirements and confirm them.
Participate in and review the skill assessment of welders for special materials 3
Review of welder basic information.
3.0.2 Participate in the inspection of welders’ welding on site. 3.0.3 Review various performance test results of welding test plates and specimens, such as chemical composition, mechanical properties, metallographic inspection, corrosion resistance test, etc.
3.0.4 If all meet the requirements, confirm their special material welding qualifications; if not, they do not have special material welding qualifications and will not be confirmed.
4 Inspection and inspection during the manufacturing process of special material equipment Check the original material certificate or material re-inspection results of the steel plant. 4.0.1
Participate in on-site inspection work related to key nodes of special material manufacturing. 4.0.2
4.0.3 Review the manufacturing inspection results related to special materials, such as: radiographic inspection, liquid penetrant inspection, magnetic particle inspection, and test results of various properties of production test plates (such as chemical composition, mechanical properties, metallographic structure, corrosion resistance test, etc.). 4.0.4 If the requirements are not met on key issues, it may be required to redo or stop work for correction; if the relevant results of the review meet the requirements, they shall be confirmed and signed.
5 Inspection of special material pipelines during on-site construction 5.0.1
The welding process assessment and welder skill assessment of special material pipelines are the same as the above 4.0.2~4.0.3. The inspection of special material pipelines during on-site construction can refer to Chapter 4. 6 Others
For non-special materials, if the material professional needs to participate in the inspection for some reason, the above requirements can be referred to.

This standard is revised on the basis of the "Chemical Design Manual" (CSD) organized and compiled and published by the former Ministry of Chemical Industry and China Chemical Engineering Exploration and Design Association in 1987. The material professional was originally written in Chapter 27 of Volume 10 of CSD. At present, there are not many domestic design institutes or engineering companies that have set up and carried out material majors. The practices and depth requirements of foreign engineering companies are also different. This revision mainly absorbs the new information learned from the cooperation and exchanges between various institutes and foreign companies since the publication of CSD, as well as the practical experience of relevant companies (institutes). In order to keep pace with the international standards, we still launched this professional standard. The main revisions to this standard are:
(1) The preliminary design stage is retained when dividing the design stage, and the division of the engineering design stage is no longer divided into three processes: analysis design, graphic design and finished product design, but two stages: basic engineering and detailed engineering design. (2) The raw material memorandum is renamed to the commonly used term in China: engineering material selection regulations. (3) An example of pipeline material identification diagram is added. If it is clearly stated in the engineering material selection regulations, the pipeline material identification diagram can be omitted.
(4) The work content of the material major in the manufacturing process of special material equipment is added. (5) The work content of the material major in the on-site welding process of special material pipelines is added. (6) Other corresponding deletions and modifications have been made to the text and certain contents. 269
