This standard specifies the test method for the pressure resistance of filter elements for magnetic slurry filtration. This standard is applicable to filter elements for magnetic slurry filtration in the magnetic recording material industry, and is also applicable to filter elements for other liquid filtration. 2 Method summary
The test liquid flows from the outside to the inside of the filter element at a given flow rate. When the filter element is subjected to a pressure higher than the rated value, check the degree of damage to the filter element.
3 Test device and test liquid
3.1 Test device

The test fluid is drinking water or HY-10 aviation hydraulic oil, 4 Test procedure
4.1 High viscosity test fluid or test powder can be used, or the surface of the filter element can be pre-blocked to establish pressure drop. 4.2 Install the filter element to be tested into the filter cartridge.

4.3 Start the pump and slowly open the outlet valve of the pump to increase the inlet and outlet pressure drop of the filter slowly. 4.4 After the pump is started, the pressure and outlet flow of the filter should be observed immediately. If the outlet flow of the filter continues to increase, but the pressure of the filter inlet pressure gauge cannot be increased, it means that the filter element is not dense enough. The test should be stopped, and the filter element should be removed to check the cause. The test should be carried out again after the blockage.
4.5 After the pump is started, if the inlet and outlet pressure drop of the filter increases steadily and slowly, it means that the test process is normal. When the pressure drop reaches 1.25 times the rated value of the filter element, keep it for 15 minutes and stop the test. 4.6 Take out the filter element and observe whether its shape and frame are deformed, collapsed or damaged. 4.7 During the test, if the pressure of the filter inlet pressure gauge suddenly drops and the outlet flow suddenly increases, it means that the filter element has been collapsed. Record the pressure drop of the filter at this time and take out the filter element to check its deformation and collapse. 5 Results
After the test, if the tested filter element has no deformation, collapse or damage, the pressure resistance of the filter element is 0.8 times the maximum pressure drop of the test. Expressed in MPa,
If the test shows 4.7, the pressure resistance of the filter element is 1.25 times the pressure drop of the filter when it is collapsed. Additional notes:
