This standard specifies the structural type and series size of A-type socket-weld flange for steel pressure vessels. JB/T4701-2000
Replaces JB4701-1992
This standard applies to A-type socket-weld flanges for steel pressure vessels with a nominal pressure of 0.25~1.6MPa and a working temperature higher than -20~300℃. 2 Referenced Standards

3 Structural types and dimensions
The structural types and series dimensions of type A flat welding flanges with various sealing surfaces shall comply with the requirements of Figures 1 to 4 and Table 1. The quality of flanges and village rings is listed in Table 2.

4.1 The materials, maximum allowable working pressure, technical conditions and markings of flanges and matching gaskets, studs and nuts shall comply with the provisions of JB/T4700.
4.2 Non-metallic soft gaskets for flanges shall comply with the provisions of JB/T4704. Equal-length studs for flanges shall comply with the provisions of JB/T4707. 4.3
