By the Chemical Process Piping Design Technology Center of the Ministry of Chemical Industry The two standards "Double Switch Plug Valve" and "Quick Special Pipe Joint" formulated by the General Research Institute of Science and Technology have been reviewed and approved as chemical industry standards, with numbers HG/T21576-94 and HG/T21577-94 respectively. They will be implemented on January 1, 1995. The two standards are managed by the Chemical Process Piping Design Technology Center of the Ministry of Chemical Industry and published and distributed by the Engineering Construction Standard Editing Center of the Ministry of Chemical Industry. 1 Subject content and scope of application
This standard specifies the main technical parameters, structural dimensions and technical conditions of quick special pipe joints.
The characteristics of quick special pipe joints are easy connection and no welding is required In flammable and explosive chemical enterprises, in the case of partial water and steam outages, the above-ground pipes and buried pipes can be replaced, which is fast and convenient. The use of this joint has great advantages. 1.0.3
This standard is applicable to pipes with a nominal pressure of PN1.0 and PN1.6MPa, a working temperature of ≤250℃ and a nominal diameter of DN15~400mm. 1.0.4This standard is applicable to connectors for pipelines conveying water, steam, air, gas, acid, alkali, etc.

When the sealing material is natural rubber or nitrile rubber, the working temperature is ≤80℃. When the sealing material is EPDM or FKM, the working temperature is 250℃. See Table 4.0.3 for the main materials.
