This standard is a revision of ZBH24002--89 "Technical Conditions for Type A Sensitivity Comparison Test Blocks for Penetrant Testing". During the revision, editorial changes were made to the original standard.
This standard has some changes from ZBH24002--89 in the following main technical contents: According to the T-648.2 specified in Chapter 6 of the ASME code VSec 1995 version, liquid penetrant inspection T-640 inspection, the provisions for making the dimension drawing of the type A comparison test block have been modified: Due to the modification of the dimension drawing, appropriate textual modifications have been made to 3.3, 4.2.1, 4.2.3 and 6.1. This standard replaces ZBH24002--89 from the date of implementation. This standard is proposed and managed by the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Nondestructive Testing. The responsible drafting units of this standard are: Shanghai Boiler Factory and Shanghai Institute of Materials. The main drafters of this standard are: Xu Youzheng and Gui Jinhua. 491

This standard specifies the material, type, size, technical requirements, inspection requirements, marking, packaging and storage of type A sensitivity test blocks for penetrant testing.
This standard applies to type A sensitivity comparison test blocks for penetrant testing. The test blocks are used for performance testing of penetrant testing agents and comparison of penetrant testing sensitivity.

3 Type and size
3.1 Shape and size of test block
The shape and size of the comparison test block are shown in Figure 1. 76 ± 0. 1

3.2 Orientation of test block.
The length direction of the comparison test block should be consistent with the rolling direction of the plate. Approved by the State Bureau of Machinery Industry on June 28, 1999 492

3.3 Cracks on test blocks

On the surface of test blocks A and B, there should be irregularly distributed cracks with a width of no more than 3um, more than 3~5um and more than 5μm, and there should be no more than two cracks no more than 3um on each block. 4 Technical requirements
4.1 Material
Use I.Y12 aluminum alloy plates or bars, the chemical composition of which shall comply with the provisions of GB/T3190, the technical conditions of plates shall comply with the provisions of GB/T3193, and the technical conditions of bars shall comply with the provisions of GB/T3191 or GB/T3192. 4.2 Test block processing
4.2.1 Process the test block dimensions according to the requirements of 3.1 and 3.2. 4.2.2 Use a blowtorch to locally heat the middle part of one side of the test block with a surface roughness of R.6.3μm, so that its temperature reaches 500~540℃, and then immediately put it into water for rapid cooling. Make the cracks produced meet the requirements of 3.3. 4.2.3 Then heat the test block to about 140℃ for drying. Cool the shield and divide the test block into two blocks, A and B, according to the size diagram of the A-type comparison test block. Measures should be taken during division to prevent contamination caused by cracks during processing. 5 Inspection requirements
5.1 The size and surface roughness of the test block shall meet the requirements of 3.1. 5.2 The width of the cracks on the test block shall be measured piece by piece by metallographic method, and the measurement results and measurement positions shall be correctly recorded on the test parameter card. 5.3 Any test block that does not meet the requirements of 3.1.3.3 shall be judged as unqualified. 6 Marking, packaging and storage
6.1 Marking
If the test blocks are placed as shown in the diagram of 3.1, there should be a permanent mark with a sequential number on the upper right corner and A and B on the upper left corner of each separated test block.
6.2 Packaging
6.2.1 The finished test blocks should be placed in a box with a certain rigidity and fixed. The box should have soft pads and measures to fix the position of the test blocks to prevent the test blocks from being damaged.
6.2.2 The box should be accompanied by a user manual and a test parameter card. 6.3 Storage
When the test blocks are not in use, they should be placed in the test block box and placed in a dry place. 7 Maintenance of test blocksWww.bzxZ.net
After use, the comparison test blocks must be thoroughly cleaned to remove the residual penetrant on the test blocks. After cleaning, place them in acetone or ethanol solution for 30 minutes, cool or blow dry, and then place them in the test block box and store them in a dry place. 493
