This standard is applicable to the determination of ash content in the tantalum fraction obtained by fractionation of high-temperature coal tar, refined tea, industrial tantalum and pressed naphthalene obtained by washing, rectification or pressing.
Test Principle
Incinerate the non-volatile matter of naphthalene, and the percentage of the residue after incineration in the weighed naphthalene sample is taken as the ash content. 2. Sample collection and preparation
Solid samples shall be collected in accordance with GB2000-80 "Sampling Method for Solid Coking Products", and liquid samples shall be collected in accordance with GB2289-80 "Sampling Method for Viscous Oil Coking Products". The sample obtained by the final reduction shall be ground into powder with a mortar. 3. Instruments and equipment
3.1 Box-shaped high-temperature furnace: with a temperature control device, which can maintain a temperature of 815+10℃. It is equipped with a thermocouple and a pyrometer. The back of the furnace has a small hole for inserting the thermocouple. The position of the small hole should ensure that the hot contact point of the thermocouple can be kept 20 to 30 meters away from the bottom of the furnace in the furnace. The furnace door 1 has a vent, as shown in the figure.

4.1 When determining the ash content of squeezed naphthalene, weigh 20g of the sample (accurate to 0.1g), place it in an evaporating dish that has been pre-burned at 815℃ and has reached constant weight, and slowly heat it with a low fire until there is no volatile matter.
4.2 Place the above squeezed naphthalene residue without volatile matter or the refined naphthalene or the residue of the above naphthalene after the determination of non-volatile matter in a box-shaped high-temperature furnace, ash it at 815+10℃ for 30min, take it out and cool it in the air for 5min, then cool it to room temperature in a desiccator and weigh it (accurate to 0.0002g).
4.3 After weighing, perform a constant weight check, burn it for 15min each time, until the mass difference is within 0.0004g for two consecutive times. The last weighing number is used for calculation.
