Test method for fineness of grind of plastics gravure printing inks1 Subject content and scope of application
This standard specifies the test method for fineness of gravure plastic inks. This standard is applicable to the test of fineness of gravure plastic inks. 2 Principle
The grinding degree and dispersion of ink particles are measured by a scraper fineness meter, expressed in microns. 3 Materials
3.1 Cotton yarn.
3.2 Scrubbing solvent: ethanol.
4 Instruments
4.10~50um scraper fineness meter: QxP-50 type. 4.2 Glass rod: 7mm, length 250mm.
5 Test conditions
The test should be carried out under the conditions of temperature 25±1℃ and humidity 65%±5%. 6 Inspection steps
6.1 Clean the scraper and scraper, and mix the test ink with a glass rod. GB/T 13217. 3-91
6.2 Take a small amount of ink with a glass rod and place it at 50um of the scraper. The amount of ink should be enough to fill the groove, but slightly excessive. 6.3 Hold the scraper with both hands and place it vertically on the upper end of the polished plate (at the edge of the sample). Within 3s, pull the scraper from the deep part of the groove to the shallow part, so that the ink sample fills the groove, and no excess ink is left on the plate. After the scraper is pulled, immediately observe the particle concentration point in the groove (no more than 10 particles) and record the reading.
6.4 When observing the results, the line of sight should be at an angle of 15° to 30° with the groove plane, and the number of concentrated points should be quickly and accurately read within 5s. The reading should be accurate to the minimum scale value.
7 Test results
The test should be carried out three times in parallel, and the result is the arithmetic mean of two similar readings. The error between the two readings should not be greater than the minimum scale value of the instrument.
Approved by the State Bureau of Technical Supervision on September 14, 1991 and implemented on August 1, 1992
