This standard applies to the safety of electric range hoods installed on the top of household cooking stoves, stoves or similar appliances, with a rated voltage not exceeding 250V. Note 1: The stove can be powered by electricity or other fuels, such as gas. Appliances that are not intended for general household use but may still pose a danger when used in public places, such as range hoods intended for use by non-professionals in shops, light industrial sectors and farms, also fall within the scope of this standard. This standard is equivalent to IEC60335-2-31.1995 Safety of household and similar electrical appliances Part 2: Particular requirements for range hoods and its Supplement 1:1998. This standard should be used in conjunction with GB4706.1-1998 General safety requirements for household and similar electrical appliances. It is the first revision of GB4706.28-1992 Safety of household and similar electrical appliances Particular requirements for range hoods. The part of this standard that says "applicable" means that the corresponding provisions in GB4706.1-1998 are applicable to this standard; the part of this standard that says "replaces" or "can be modified" shall be based on this standard. The part of this standard that says "added" means that in addition to complying with the corresponding provisions in GB4706.1-1998, it shall also comply with the provisions added by this standard. This standard mainly makes the following provisions: the safety content in the instruction manual is more detailed and substantial; the installation specifies the distance between the support surface of the cooking utensils on the stove and the lower part of the range hood, the exhaust gas requirements and the pipeline installation method
19.101 specifies the thickness limit of motor windings - adds requirements and test methods for electrical connections that can be touched by users during maintenance, and should not be subjected to tension! Adds requirements and test methods for range hoods that cannot use flammable materials. This standard will replace GB4706.28-1992 from the date of implementation.
