This standard is equivalent to IEC60335-2-31.1995 Safety of household and similar electrical appliances Part 2: Particular requirements for range hoods and its Supplement 1:1998. This standard should be used in conjunction with GB4706.1-1998 General safety requirements for household and similar electrical appliances. It is the first revision of GB4706.28-1992 Safety of household and similar electrical appliances Particular requirements for range hoods. The part of this standard that says "applicable" means that the corresponding provisions in GB4706.1-1998 are applicable to this standard; the part of this standard that says "replaces" or "can be modified" shall be based on this standard. The part of this standard that says "added" means that in addition to complying with the corresponding provisions in GB4706.1-1998, it shall also comply with the provisions added by this standard.
