This standard is equivalent to the international standard ISO3871-1980 "Road vehicles-Marking of containers for petroleum-based or non-petroleum-based brake fluids". 1 Scope of application
This standard specifies the marking on commercial containers used to store brake fluids for the brake and hydraulic systems of automobiles, motorcycles and mopeds. 2 Marking
2.1 Commercial containers should be marked with the contents. The marking examples are "SY1906 alcohol-type automobile brake fluid" or "SY1907 automobile brake oil (mineral oil-type automobile brake fluid)". 2.2 The contents specified in 2.1, together with the instructions required by 2.3, 2.4 and 2.5, should be marked on the main panel of the container. The minimum height of the mark should be 3.5mm, and it should be clearly and permanently marked in a conspicuous position on the bottom plate of the container. 2.3 The container should have a serial number to identify the packaging batch number and packaging date. The container should also have the name of the packager or the corresponding code, as well as the name and address of the sales unit. 2.4 The container should indicate the lowest equilibrium reflux boiling point (℃) of the liquid in the container according to SY4004-81 "4603, 4603-1 Synthetic Brake Oil", the 10% distillation temperature according to SY1906-76 "Alcohol Type Automobile Brake Fluid" and the initial distillation point D (℃) according to SY1907-80 "Automobile Brake Oil (Mineral Oil Type Automobile Brake Fluid)" standard. 2.5 The container should have a safety warning label, the content is as follows: 2.5.1 "When filling, follow the recommendations of the automobile manufacturer, ××× brake fluid..." 2.5.2 Only used for automobile brake fluid (mineral oil type automobile brake fluid) "Automobile brake fluid (mineral oil type automobile brake fluid), not suitable for rubber parts of brake systems designed according to No. 4603, No. 4603-1 synthetic brake fluid specified in SY4004 standard, No. 4604 synthetic brake fluid specified in SY4005 standard and alcohol type automobile brake fluid specified in SY1906 standard". 2.5.3 Keep the ××× brake fluid clean. Dust, water or other substances will cause brake failure or increase maintenance costs. 2.5. "Note that ××× brake fluid is only allowed to be stored in the original container" Keep the container clean and sealed. It is not allowed to add other liquids to the container or use other liquids in the container. 2.6 If necessary, toxicity warnings and flammable warnings should be marked on the container.
