3.1 Flame retardant time: The time (min) required for the temperature of the back-fired surface of the test plate to reach 220°C or for penetration of the test plate to occur under specified substrate and specific burning conditions.
3.2 Flame propagation ratio: When the flame propagation ratio of the asbestos board is "0", and the flame propagation ratio of the oak board is "100", the surface flame propagation characteristic data of the test material. 3.3 Fire retardant performance: expressed by combustion mass loss and carbonization volume. 3.3.1 Mass loss: The difference in mass before and after combustion of the specimen under the specified coating ratio and specified combustion conditions (g). 3.3.2 Carbonization volume: The product of the maximum length, maximum width and maximum depth of carbonization of the substrate under the specified coating ratio and specified combustion conditions (cm3).

4.2 Classification of fire retardant performance of fire retardant coatings
The fire retardant performance of fire retardant coatings shall be graded according to the corresponding indicators listed in Table 2. 4.2.1

Indicators and levels
When fire retardant coatings cannot simultaneously meet the performance indicators specified for a certain level, the lowest level performance data shall be used as the basis for classification.
4.3In addition to the inspection items specified in Tables 1 and 2, fire retardant coatings shall also be graded according to the fire retardant coatings. According to the characteristics and intended use of the material, increase the inspection items, and make necessary supplementary tests according to the corresponding national standards and other recognized test methods. 5

1 Subject content and scope of application
This standard specifies the flame retardant properties of fire retardant coatings applied on the surface of combustible substrates under specified conditions. This standard is applicable to the determination of flame retardant properties of decorative fire retardant coatings. 2 Reference standards

3.1 Test device
The test device consists of a specimen rack, a burner, a jet aspirator, etc. (see Figure 1). 3.1.1 The test rack is a frame made of 30mm×30mm angle steel, and its internal dimensions are 760mm×760mm×1400mm. The lower end of the frame has a foot height of 100mm, and the upper end is used to place the specimen.
3.1.2 The asbestos pressure plate is made of 900mm × 900mm ×20mm asbestos plate, with a circular hole of 500mm in diameter in the center.
3.1.3 The burner is composed of two copper sleeves with an inner diameter of 42mm, a wall thickness of 3mm and a height of 42mm and an inner diameter of 28mm, a wall thickness of 3mm and a height of 25mm, installed on a nominal diameter of 77//77777/777077777777777
