Rubber-modified acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) is a thermoplastic engineering plastic that has been widely used in food containers and food processing machinery and equipment. This standard is formulated with reference to the US FDA $177·102 on ABS and other Chinese plastic product hygiene standards. This standard was first issued in April 1998.
This standard was proposed by the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China. This standard was drafted by the Shanghai Food Hygiene Supervision and Inspection Institute, the Guangxi Autonomous Region Food Hygiene Supervision and Inspection Institute, and the Gansu Provincial Health and Epidemic Prevention Station. www.bzxz.net
