1 Types of current detector
1.0.1 Commonly used types of current detectors are as follows: DC type, rocker type, float type, impeller type, lantern type, frame type, etc. Each type is composed of several different structures or connection forms. 1.0.2 The material of current detector components varies with the properties and parameters of the medium, and is determined according to the process parameter requirements. 577
2 Setting of flow detectors
2.0.1 To monitor the flow of fluids in process pipelines and utility pipelines, flow detectors need to be set.
2.0.2 To continuously monitor the composition of process media (such as viscosity or the size and quantity of particles contained) on the pipeline, necessary flow detectors need to be set. 2.0.3 During the production process, process media may react chemically or flush with equipment and pipelines, causing corrosion of equipment and pipelines, and changes in the quality and color of finished or semi-finished products. The medium needs to be continuously monitored so that production personnel can adjust process parameters in time to ensure the safety of equipment and pipelines and qualified product performance. Flow detectors are set.
2.0.4 To continuously monitor whether the separation effect and composition of the process media at each outlet of the liquid separator meet the process requirements, flow detectors are set.
2.0.5 In order to recover the gas from the liquid with escaping gas, a three-way flow detector is installed at the outlet of the equipment to both remove the gas and monitor the flow of the liquid. 2.0.6 A flow detector is installed to monitor the uninterrupted liquid entering and leaving certain equipment. For example, monitor the cooling water required for each section of the compressor; the continuous reflux liquid and continuous discharge liquid of the distillation tower; the continuous addition and discharge of certain reactors (towers), etc., to avoid overflow or lack of material in the equipment. 578
Determination of the type of current detector
3.0.1 The outlet of the refined (distillation tower gas phase (or gas-liquid phase) passes through the condenser cooler to the oil (or water-insoluble liquid) water separator. When the outlet material temperature is high and there is escaped gas, it is necessary to monitor the material flow and recover the escaped gas. A three-way current detector is installed. 3.0.2 For the liquid material pipe in and out of the device, when the material in the pipe is full, the current detector can be a float type, impeller type, or rocking plate type current detector; when the material in the pipe is not full, a direct current type, rocking plate type, or lantern type current detector can be used.
3.0.3 When the pressure of the flowing medium is low, if you want to see the flow of the medium in multiple directions, use a lantern type current detector.
3.0.4 When the pressure of the flowing medium is high and its flow needs to be monitored, use a frame type current detector. 3.0 .5 When the flowing medium contains trace crystals or other particles and its flow needs to be monitored, a direct current or lantern type current detector should be used.
4 Precautions for setting the current detector
4.0.1 Due to the performance limitations of the glass parts of the current detector, the operating temperature and the tolerance to sudden temperature changes of the current detector should be selected according to the data on the current detector product information. 4.0.2 When the medium is likely to solidify in winter or when the temperature drops, the current detector should be steam jacketed. 4.0.3 If the medium is easy to adhere to the glass and it is difficult to observe the flow of the material, it is not appropriate to use a current detector to monitor its flow.
4.0.4 Current detector setting position: Generally, the current detector is set on a horizontal pipe (except for the three-way and lantern types), which is conducive to monitoring the flow of the medium. 4.0.5 The current detector is a standardized product and is set according to the pressure and temperature specified in the product information. The shell material of the current detector is usually carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, plastic and other materials. In order to meet the process requirements, special materials are needed, which should be stated separately when placing an order to the manufacturer. 580
