Sesame Oil

This standard applies to the purchase, sale, allocation, storage, processing and export of commercial sesame oil. Technical requirements
Sesame oil should have the following characteristic constants:
1.1 Specific gravity (20/4℃): 0.9515~0.9675.1.2 Refractive index (20℃): 1.4765~1.4810.1.3 Iodine value (Weigu method): 80~88.
1.4 Saponification value (mgK0H/g): 177~187.1.5 Acetyl value (mgKOH/g): ≥140.2 Grade index
2.1 The grade index of sesame seed oil is shown in the following table: Grade

The sample of sesame seed oil shall be collected in accordance with GB5524-85 "Method for collecting and dividing samples for testing of vegetable oils and fats" 3.1
The determination of specific gravity shall be carried out in accordance with GB552685 "Method for determination of specific gravity for testing of vegetable oils and fats". 3.3
The determination of refractive index shall be carried out in accordance with GB5527-85 "Method for determination of refractive index for testing of vegetable oils and fats".
The determination of iodine value shall be carried out in accordance with GB5532-85 "Method for determination of iodine value for testing of vegetable oils and fats". The determination of saponification value shall be carried out in accordance with GB5534-85 "Method for determination of saponification value for testing of vegetable oils and fats". Food Standards Network (Http:/wwW.spbz.cn) 3.6 The determination of acetyl value shall be carried out in accordance with Appendix A of this standard. 3.7 The identification of odor, transparency and color shall be carried out in accordance with GB5525-85 "Identification Method for Transparency, Color, Odor and Taste of Vegetable Oils and Fats". 3.8 The determination of acid value shall be carried out in accordance with GB553085 "Determination Method for Acid Value of Vegetable Oils and Fats". 3.9 The determination of moisture and volatile matter shall be carried out in accordance with GB5528-85 "Determination Method for Moisture and Volatile Matter of Vegetable Oils and Fats".
3.10 The determination of impurities shall be carried out in accordance with GB552985 "Determination Method for Impurities of Vegetable Oils and Fats". 3.11 The adulteration test shall be carried out in accordance with GB553985 "Qualitative Test for Oils and Fats of Vegetable Oils and Fats". 4 Packaging, transportation and storage
The packaging, transportation and storage of sesame seed oil must ensure quality and quantity, prevent pollution, and meet the requirements of transportation safety and graded storage. The containers for sesame oil must have an obvious "sesame oil" mark. And indicate the gross weight, net weight and date of manufacture.
Appendix A
Determination method of acetyl value
(Supplement)
A.1 Definition: Acetyl value refers to the number of milligrams of potassium hydroxide required for neutralization of acetic acid produced by saponification of 1g of acetylated oil.
A.2 Instruments and utensils
Conical flask: 250mL;
Spherical condenser:
A.2.3 Balance: sensitivity 0.01g;
Electric heating plate: 500W. Or magnetic stirring heater; A.2.5
water bath;
electric constant temperature box:
separating funnel (pear-shaped): 250mL;
funnel: Φ9~11cm;
beaker: 400mL;
measuring cylinder: 100mL;
acid burette: 25 or 50mL;
timer;
pumice and qualitative filter paper.
A.3 Reagents
Acetic anhydride: analytical grade;
A.3.2 0.5N potassium hydroxide ethanol solution:
A.3.3 0.5N hydrochloric acid standard solution;
A.3.4 0.1% phenol indicator;
A.3.5 95% ethanol: analytical grade;
A.3.6 Anhydrous sodium sulfate: analytical grade
A.3.7 Litmus paper.
A.4 Operation method
A.4.1 Weigh 10g of the sample into a 250mL conical flask, add 20mL of pure acetic anhydride (add a few pieces of zeolite to prevent violent boiling), connect a condenser, heat with low heat and boil for 30min, then transfer to a separatory funnel, separate the lower layer of water after clarification, and then rinse the acetylated substance with hot water until the aqueous solution is no longer acidic (test with litmus paper), then wash twice with warm water (60-70℃), and release the lower layer of water as much as possible, add 5g of food standard network (Http://s pbz.cn) with anhydrous sodium sulfate, add oscillation from time to time, filter out sodium sulfate with dry filter paper after 1 hour, and dry at 100℃ (acetylated fats should be clear and transparent)
A.4.2 Take 2g of the dried acetylated fats and oils in a conical flask, add 50mL of 0.5NKOH solution, connect a condenser to saponify for 1 hour, add 10mL of neutral ethanol to wash the condenser tube wall, remove the conical flask, add 2 drops of phenolphthalein indicator, heat and titrate with 0.5NHC1 solution, and perform a blank test at the same time to calculate the saponification value (S) of the acetylated fats and oils. The calculation method of the saponification value shall be implemented in accordance with GB5534-85. A.4.3 At the same time, the saponification value (S) of the unacetylated fats and oils shall be measured by the determination method of the saponification value in GB5534-85. A.5 Calculation of results
Acetyl value is calculated as follows:
Ether value (mgkOH/g) -1.000 -0.075 s Where:
Saponification value of acetylated fats and oils:
-Saponification value of unacetylated fats and oils.
The allowable difference between the two test results shall not exceed 2.0mgKOH/g. The measurement result shall be rounded to the first decimal place. Additional remarks:

A.4.2 Take 2g of the dried acetylated fats and oils in a conical flask, add 50mL of 0.5NKOH solution, connect a condenser to saponify for 1 hour, add 10mL of neutral ethanol to wash the condenser tube wall, remove the conical flask, add 2 drops of phenolphthalein indicator, heat and titrate with 0.5NHC1 solution, and perform a blank test at the same time to calculate the saponification value (S) of the acetylated fats and oils. The calculation method of the saponification value shall be implemented in accordance with GB5534-85. A.4.3 At the same time, the saponification value (S) of the unacetylated fats and oils shall be measured by the determination method of the saponification value in GB5534-85. A.5 Calculation of results
