Pressure Test Method for Glass Tubes and Fittings
Subject Content and Scope of Application
HG/T2436--93
This standard specifies the instruments, equipment, specimens, test procedures and result processing methods for the pressure test of glass tubes and fittings. This standard applies to the pressure resistance test of glass tubes and fittings. 2 Reference standards
QB961 Glass instrument internal stress test method Polarization optical measurement method HG/T2435 Glass tubes and pipe fittings
3 Equipment, instruments, test oxygen
3.1 Pump: electric or manual pressure pump with pressure ≥1MPa. 3.2 Pressure gauge: range 01MPa, accuracy not less than 1.0 level, dial diameter not less than 100mm, 3.3 Torque wrench: minimum division 0.5N·m, 3.4 Test device as shown in Figure 1,
3.5 Before the test, make a safety check on the pressure system. During the test, a 5mm thick organic glass cover should be used to separate the tester from the sample.

4 Test specimen
Approved by the Ministry of Chemical Industry of the People's Republic of China on June 14, 1993 and implemented on January 1, 1994
4.1 The test specimen shall meet all the requirements of HG/T2435
HG/T2436-93
"Glass Tubes and Fittings". In particular, the test specimens whose wall thickness and internal stress do not meet the standards shall not be used for internal pressure test. 4.2 After the test specimens have passed the size, appearance and stress tests, they shall be cleaned with tap water. 4.3 The number of samples in each group shall be in accordance with the provisions of Article 7.2.3 of HG/T2435 "Glass Tubes and Fittings". 5 Test steps
5.1 Install the qualified sample on the test device, use the torque wrench to evenly tighten the bolts, and the torque value of each bolt is shown in Table 1. 5.2 The sample should be installed horizontally and have appropriate support to reduce the existence of additional stress 5.3 Inject room temperature tap water into the sample until all the gas in the sample is discharged, and then close the water inlet valve and exhaust valve. 5.4 Test pressure: The test pressure of the glass tube is 2 times the design pressure; the test pressure of glass fittings and valves is 1.5 times the design pressure. See Table 1.
