Summary:
This standard specifies the main developmental morphological characteristics of fertilized and unfertilized eggs of black carp, grass carp, silver carp and bighead carp determined by live observation, as well as the sampling time, sampling quantity and calculation method of fertilization rate. This standard is applicable to the statistics of fertilization rate of fish eggs in artificial propagation of black carp, grass carp, silver carp and bighead carp. It can also be used as a reference for the calculation of fertilization rate of eggs in artificial propagation of other fish that lay drifting eggs.
