1 Subject content and scope of application
This standard specifies the starting performance test conditions and test methods for motorcycles and mopeds. This standard applies to the starting performance test of motorcycles and mopeds. 2 Reference standards
GB/T5378 General principles for road tests for motorcycles and mopeds 3 Test conditions
3.1 Test environment temperature:
Normal temperature: 278~308K
Low temperature: 268±2K for mopeds
263±2K for motorcycles
3.2 During the test, the choke can be closed or the pressure reducing valve (enrichment valve) can be opened. GB/T 5381—
GB 4561--84
Replaces 5381-85
3.3 Each test must be carried out after the engine temperature of the test vehicle is consistent with the required ambient temperature. 3.4 The continuous working time of the test vehicle starter of the test vehicle with electric start shall be in accordance with the technical documents of the manufacturer. If there is no regulation, it shall not exceed 5s. 3.5 Other test conditions shall comply with the provisions of GB/T5378. 4 Test method
4.1 Prepare for the starting test in accordance with the technical documents of the manufacturer. Measure the ambient temperature, atmospheric pressure, humidity and the temperature of the engine cylinder head cooling fin. 4.2
4.3 Start the engine from the time the signal is sent and record the time until the engine can run continuously. For the test vehicle with both electric start and foot start, both starting performance tests should be carried out. 4.4
The test is allowed to be carried out three times. If one test is successful, the subsequent tests will not be carried out. The test data and results are recorded in the table of Appendix A (Supplement). 4.6
Approved by the State Administration of Technical Supervision on December 27, 1994 and implemented on July 1, 1995
