National Chemical Engineering Construction Standard Editing Center (formerly Engineering Construction Standard Editing Center of the Ministry of Chemical Industry) 2001 Beijing
According to the arrangement of the Infrastructure Department of the Ministry of Chemical Industry, the Chemical Process Piping Design Technology Center of the Ministry of Chemical Industry organized the compilation of "Chemical Pipeline Filter" (HGJ532-91) (now renamed 21637-1991) as a ministerial industry standard guiding the design and manufacture of process piping.
This standard has two series: metric and imperial. The metric series has three pressure levels: 1.0, 2.5, and 4.0 MPa; the imperial series has two pressure levels: 150 and 300 pounds. Each series has eight structural types, including Y-type, positive baffle T-type, reverse baffle T-type, direct flow T-type, pointed cone type, flat cone type, double simple tank type, and multi-cylinder tank type, and four connection methods, including threaded connection, socket welding connection, butt welding connection, and flange connection. The content includes: general principles, scope of application, classification, structural dimensions, dimensional tolerances, markings, technical conditions, selection principles, ordering details, etc. This standard was compiled by the Sixth Design Institute of the Ministry of Chemical Industry. The editor-in-chief is Chen Kedong, and the participating personnel include Ma Yue, Liu Zongping, Xu Xiangju, Zhang Jiasheng, Han Gang, Tong Jianzhong, Wang Jianhua, Li Yongai, Chu Jianhua, Li Shemin, etc., and finally approved by Feng Shuyuan and Xia Dekai of the Chemical Process Piping Design Technology Center of the Ministry of Chemical Industry. During the implementation of this standard, if any amendment or supplement is found, please provide your opinions and relevant information to the Chemical Process Piping Design Technology Center of the Ministry of Chemical Industry for reference in future revisions. 1.1 The filters listed in this standard are suitable for filtering solid impurities from liquid and gas materials in the production of chemical, petrochemical, light industry, etc. They are usually installed on the pipes before the inlet of pumps and compressors or flow meters to protect such equipment or meters.
1.2 This standard includes two series, metric and imperial. The metric series has three pressure levels: 1.0, 2.5, 4.0 MPa; the imperial series has two pressure levels: 150, 300 Lb (2.0, 5.0 MPa). The pressure level of the tip and top cone filters in the metric series starts from 0.6 MPa, i.e. 0.6, 1.0, 2.5 MPa1.3 The main structural materials of the filters in this standard are cast iron, carbon steel, low alloy steel and austenitic stainless steel. The operating temperature range is: cast iron is -20300℃: carbon steel is -20~400℃: low alloy steel is -40~400℃; stainless steel is -196400℃.
2·Scope of application

2.3 Working pressure
Metric series: ≤4.0MPa
British series: ≤4.64MPa
When the working temperature is >200℃, the filter should be selected according to the corresponding relationship between working pressure and working temperature. The maximum working pressure at different working temperatures is shown in Table 1 and Table 2. 7

Main applicable materials are:
Weakly corrosive materials in chemical and petrochemical production. Such as: water, ammonia, oil, hydrocarbons, etc. 400
Corrosive materials in chemical production. 400
Caustic soda, soda ash, concentrated and dilute sulfuric acid, nitric acid, acetic acid, fatty acids, etc. Low temperature materials in refrigeration and air separation production. Such as: liquid methane, liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen and various refrigerants. Materials with hygienic requirements in light food and pharmaceutical production. Such as beer, beverages, dairy products, syrups, medical supplies, etc.
Generally, the material of the filter should be selected according to the corrosion of the medium to the material. 2.5 Interceptable solid particle diameter
This standard filter uses 30 mesh/inch stainless steel wire mesh as the standard mesh, which can intercept solid particles with a particle size of ≥614um.
3 Classification
This standard has eight structural types of filters, and their models, diameters and operating temperature ranges are shown in Tables 3 and 4. The coding method of the code and model in the table is specified in the marking in Chapter 6. 3
