1 Subject content and scope of application
This standard specifies the assessment criteria for achieving the three-stage target requirements for the prevention and control of schistosomiasis. This standard applies to the twelve provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in southern my country where schistosomiasis is prevalent. 2 Standard content
2.1 Schistosomiasis epidemic control standards
2.1.1 The positive rate of fecal examination of residents is reduced to less than 5%. 2.1.2 The positive rate of fecal examination of livestock is reduced to less than 3%. 2.1.3 No or very few cases of acute schistosomiasis occur. 2.2 Standards for the control of schistosomiasis transmission
2.2.1 The positive rate of fecal examination of residents and livestock has been reduced to less than 1% GB15976--1995
2.2.2 No cases of acute schistosomiasis have occurred, and no children under 12 years old and young livestock under 2 years old have been newly infected. 2.2.3 The snail area has been reduced by more than 98% (the positive snail density outside the lake area has been reduced to less than 0.0001/0.11m2). 2.2.4 Schistosomiasis prevention and control archives have been established in townships to reflect the local disease, snail situation changes and the requirements of transmission control standards. 2.3 Standards for the interruption of schistosomiasis transmission
2.3.1 No new people and livestock infected with schistosomiasis have been found for 5 consecutive years. 2.3.2 The positive rate of fecal examination of residents and livestock has been reduced to less than 2%. 3 No snails have been found for more than one year (no infected snails have been found outside the lake area). 2.3.3
2.3.4 There is a sound professional team for consolidation monitoring, complete schistosomiasis prevention archives and consolidation monitoring plans and measures. 2.3.5 Five years after the transmission interruption standard is reached, if no new local schistosomiasis-infected humans, livestock, or infected snails are found, the area can be declared to have been eradicated and consolidation monitoring will continue.
