3.1 The effective length of the felt electrode of the tester should be 20±2mm. 3.2 The test voltage should be DC 50±3V.
The speed of the sample passing through the felt electrode should be 15±1m/min. 3.3
3.4The detection sensitivity of the tester shall comply with the following provisions: a.
When the insulation resistance of the sample is less than 10kN, the relay shall operate within 0.04$; b.
When the insulation resistance of the sample is greater than or equal to 15kN, the relay shall not operate; c.
The counter does not indicate defects greater than 10 per second, which are detected by the continuous defect output circuit. The tester shall have a separate continuous defect detection circuit and continuous defect display. 3.5
The maximum reset time allowed by the counting device of the tester is 0.02s. 3.6

5.5.1 When the tester complies with Articles 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 and 3.4 of this standard, it is allowed to conduct continuous defect simulation test with artificial defects at a test voltage of 50V.
5.5.2 Create an artificial defect on the sample, start the tester, and the instrument should count the defects. 5.5.3 Create two artificial defects on the sample with a distance of 5±1mm, start the tester, and the instrument should have a continuous defect display. 5.6 Determine the reset capability of the counting device of the instrument. According to Article 5.5.1 of this standard, make two artificial defects 30mm apart on the sample, start the tester, and the instrument counts the defects.
5.7 Determine the force on the sample in the tester. 5.7.1 Install a sample with a nominal diameter of 0.050mm, start the tester, and use a tensiometer to measure between the felt electrode and the traction wheel. 5.7.2 If the guide wheel between the felt electrode and the traction wheel rotates flexibly, the wire end originally connected to the traction wheel can also be connected to a load of 0.03N and hung on the guide wheel. If the sample can be pulled, it is considered to meet the provisions of Article 3.7 of this standard. 6 Handling of verification results
6.1 A verification certificate will be issued to the low-voltage paint film continuity tester that has passed the verification, and a verification result notice will be issued to the unqualified one. The cover templates of the verification certificate and verification result notice are shown in the appendix of JB/T4279.1. 6.2 The calibration cycle of low-voltage paint film continuity tester is generally set at 1 year.
