Some standard content:
GB16396-1996
Endemic fluorosis is an endemic disease that seriously endangers human health. It has been reported in 44 countries around the world. In addition to Shanghai, 30 provinces and cities (including Taiwan Province) in my country have been found to be prevalent with this disease, with a population of up to 330 million in the affected areas. Endemic skeletal fluorosis is a chronic metabolic bone disease with the main pathological feature of bone remodeling disorder caused by excessive fluoride intake and accumulation in the body of people living in endemic fluorosis areas under the combined action of a series of pathogenic disorders. Clinically, it is mainly manifested as bone and joint pain, stiffness, deformation, and paralysis and bedridden in severe cases. my country has started large-scale prevention and control in 1979, and prevention and control work requires the compilation of a unified clinical classification diagnostic standard.
This standard was proposed by the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China. The drafting unit of this standard is Xi'an Medical University. The main drafters of this standard are Shangguan Cunmin and Wang Weiqing. This standard is interpreted by the China Center for Endemic Disease Control and Prevention, the technical management unit entrusted by the Ministry of Health. 477

GB 16396—1996
People living in endemic fluorosis areas who suffer from chronic poisoning due to excessive fluoride intake and are found to have signs of skeletal fluorosis on X-ray can be diagnosed with endemic skeletal fluorosis and graded according to the following standards: a) Grade 1: patients with skeletal fluorosis who have signs of fluorosis on X-ray but no joint movement disorders or deformities clinically; b) Grade 2: patients with skeletal fluorosis who have bone and joint pain, stiffness, dysfunction and deformities but can participate in housework; c) Grade 3: patients who meet any of the following conditions:
Grade 3a: patients with skeletal fluorosis who have severe deformities such as flexion and stiffness of the neck, and/or kyphosis and/or scoliosis and lose their ability to work;
Grade 3b: patients with endemic skeletal fluorosis and secondary non-skeletal damage, such as secondary hyperparathyroidism, hypothyroidism, chronic renal insufficiency, etc.;
3c Grade 2: patients with fluorosis who have nerve or spinal cord damage but can still take care of themselves; Grade 3d: patients with fluorosis who are paralyzed.
Clinical diagnosis writing method: endemic fluorosis grade 2, endemic fluorosis grade 3b. Approved by the State Administration of Technical Supervision on May 23, 1996. 478
Implemented on December 1, 1996
