This part specifies the basic requirements for the brake system of horizontal axis grid-connected wind turbine generator sets, including the composition, working conditions, basic performance, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and transportation. This standard applies to the brake system of horizontal axis grid-connected wind turbine generator sets, which is composed of an air brake device combined with a mechanical brake device in the transmission system, and a brake system composed of a low-speed shaft mechanical brake device combined with a high-speed mechanical brake device in the transmission system.
