JB/T 8296.1-1999 This standard is a revision of JB/T 8296.1-95 "Open wheelsets for narrow gauge vehicles in mines". The bearing models in the basic parameters of open wheelsets were cancelled during the revision, and other major technical contents remained unchanged. This standard specifies the basic parameters, dimensions and technical requirements of open wheelsets for narrow gauge vehicles in mines. This standard is mainly applicable to narrow gauge vehicles used in mines whose wheel treads comply with Type A in GB/T 4695-1984 "Shape and dimensions of wheel treads for narrow gauge vehicles". This standard was first issued as GB 4786.1-84 in November 1984 and was adjusted to JB/T 8296.1-95 in April 1996. This standard will replace JB.T8296.1—95 from the date of implementation. This standard is proposed and coordinated by the National Mining Machinery Standardization Technical Committee. The drafting units of this standard are Luoyang Machinery Research Institute, Beijing Hoisting and Transport Machinery Research Institute. The main drafters of this standard are Guo Ming, Yang Xianli, Huang Jialin, Li Xulun, and Zhou Yunxiang. This standard was first issued as GB4786.1-84 in November 1984 and was adjusted to JB/T8296.195 in April 1996.

4 Technical requirements
4.1 The open wheelset shall comply with the requirements of this standard and shall be manufactured in accordance with the drawings and technical documents approved by the prescribed procedures. 4.2 The open wheelset shall be selected according to the total length and heat distance of the furnace car. 4.3 Before the wheelset is assembled, the debris and blockages shall be removed and the parts shall be cleaned. 4.4 When installing the bearing, it shall be pressed in a non-impact load-bearing method and shall not be directly impacted.
4.5 When installing the bearing, it shall be adjusted to the correct position, the wheel shall rotate freely, and a lubricant shall be filled that occupies 65%-80% of the wheel shoe oil storage cavity.
