This standard adopts IEC55-2 (1981) "Copper core or aluminum core paper insulated metal sheathed electric cable with rated voltage 18/30kV and below (excluding pressure cables and oil-filled cables) No. 2 Section: Overview and Structural Requirements". 1 Subject space and scope of application
1.1 Subject content
This standard specifies the model, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules of lead sheaths for cables. 1.2 Scope of application
1.2.1 This standard is applicable to lead sheaths for paper insulated power cables with AC rated voltage 35kV and below and lead sheaths for communication cables with long-term working internal pressure not greater than 0.07MPa. Lead sheaths for control cables or signal cables can be used as a reference. 1.2.2 This standard does not apply to lead sleeves with other special requirements or structures. 1.2.3 This standard should be used together with JB5268.1. 2 Reference standards

The model of the lead sleeve is Q.
4 Technical requirements
4.1 The lead sleeve should be made of lead alloy. Lead alloy should contain 0.4% to 0.8% antimony and 0.02% to 0.06% copper, with the balance being lead (referred to as lead-antimony-copper alloy or Pb--Sb--Cu alloy), or 0.2% to 0.4% tin , 0.4% ~ 0.6% antimony and 0.02% 0.06% copper, the balance is lead (referred to as lead-tin-antimony-copper alloy or Pb-Sn-Sb-Cu alloy). Other lead alloys with properties equal to or better than those of the above-mentioned lead alloys can also be used. In lead alloys, except for the active ingredients, the content of other impurities should not exceed the requirements for Pb-No. 2 lead ingots in GB469. 4.2 Thickness of the lead sheath
4.2.1 The nominal thickness of the lead sheath is related to the assumed diameter before the lead sheath and the cable type. It should be calculated and determined using formula (1), but the minimum nominal thickness should comply with the provisions of Table 1 .
Where: A--the nominal thickness of the lead sleeve, mm, the calculated value should be rounded to one decimal place ;D The fixed diameter of the lead sleeve, that is, the fixed diameter of the cable core, mm, is calculated according to the provisions of Appendix A of GB2952.2. The calculated value should be rounded to one decimal place
a and b coefficients, which should comply with the table 1 regulations.

The minimum thickness of the lead sleeve should not be less than 95% of the specified nominal thickness minus 0.1mm, and the calculated value should be rounded to two decimal places. 4.2.3
The maximum thickness of the lead sleeve is not specified.
The thickness of the lead sleeve at the joint when the intermittent lead pressing machine is stopped will not be assessed. 4.2.5
4.3 The lead sleeve should be sealed
4.4 There should be no inclusions such as lead slag on the lead sleeve, and no scratches or dents exceeding the minimum thickness requirements are allowed. 4.5 When the inner diameter of the lead sleeve is greater than 15mm, an expansion test should be carried out. When the inner diameter of the lead sleeve is expanded to 1.3 times its original inner diameter, the lead sleeve should not break.
5 Test methods
Lead alloy composition content inspection (Article 4.1) should be carried out in accordance with GB4103 regulations. 5.1
5.2 The inspection of the thickness of the lead sheath (Article 4.2) shall be carried out according to the method specified in Article 5.3 of JB5268.1. 5.3 For the communication cable lead sheath sealing test (Article 4.3), use dry air or inert gas filled with a pressure of 0.3~0.5MPa. Inflation should be carried out until the above air pressure is stable over the entire length of the cable. After the air pressure stabilizes, for lead sheaths without outer sheaths, the air pressure should not drop within 3 hours, and for lead sheaths with outer sheaths, the air pressure should not drop within 6 hours. For power cables, the tightness of the lead sheath is visually inspected. 5.4 Surface quality inspection (Article 4.4) should be carried out according to the method specified in JB5268.1 Article 5.2. If necessary, the thickness of the scratched or depressed area can be measured according to the method in Article 5.2.
5.5 Lead sheath expansion test (Article 4.5), a 150mm long lead pipe without mechanical damage should be taken and placed on a cone with a bottom diameter and height ratio of 1:3. Under lubrication, The lead pipe is expanded to the required inner diameter. 6 Inspection Rules
Lead sheaths should be inspected in accordance with Table 2.
