This standard applies to GB9128.1~9128.2-88 "Metal ring gaskets for steel pipe flange joints".
1 Materials
1.1 The materials and applicable scope of the gaskets shall be determined in accordance with Table 1. Table 1

Maximum use temperature
1.2 The material hardness of the ring gasket should be 30~40HB lower than that of the flange material, and its maximum hardness value shall not exceed the provisions of Table 3. Approved by the State Machinery Industry Commission on April 9, 1988 and implemented on January 1, 1989

1.3 The hardness of the annular pad should be uniform. The hardness at four symmetrical points on the entire circle should be measured. Note: 1) As long as the height difference between any two points of the ring gasket does not exceed 0.4mm, the limit deviation of the height (H) of the ring gasket can be +1.2mm. mm
3 The sealing surface of the ring seal (the inclined surface of the octagonal gasket and the round surface of the elliptical gasket) shall not have scratches, slag marks, cracks and sag points, and the surface roughness shall not exceed R.1.6pm.
4 For ring seals made of rust-prone materials (such as soft iron, No. 10 steel), anti-rust treatment should be carried out after inspection. 5 The outer edge surface of each ring seal should be marked with the manufacturer's trademark, the ring number with the letter R and the material number. Additional notes:
