This standard specifies the calculation formula and limit dimension table of M value (rod spacing MR, span rod spacing MR) and W value (average length of external spline common normal) of cylindrical spur involute spline with pressure angle of 30°. This standard is applicable to involute spline with angle of 30° according to GB/T3478.1 "Module of cylindrical spur involute spline".

5 Measuring dimensions of measuring rods
5.1 Measuring dimensions of measuring rods for internal splines

Diameter of measuring rods for measuring internal splines with a module of 0.5 to 10 mm, a number of teeth of 10 to 100, a tolerance grade of 4 to 7, and a basic deviation of H. Dri, the maximum value MRimax and the minimum value MRimin of the rod spacing are shown in Tables 1 to 14. 5.2 Measuring rod measurement dimensions of external splines
5.2.1 The diameter DRe of the measuring rod for external splines with a module of 0.5 to 10 mm, a number of teeth of 10 to 100, a tolerance grade of 4 to 7, and a basic deviation of h, and the minimum value MRemin and the maximum value MRemax of the cross-rod spacing are shown in Tables 15 to 28. 5.2.2 When the basic deviation of the external spline is not h, the cross-rod spacing dimension shall be calculated according to the formula listed in 3.2.2, or the cross-rod spacing value in the table may be corrected after the difference △MR is calculated according to the following formula. 5.3 The diameters DR: and DRe of the measuring rods listed in Tables 1 to 28 are determined in accordance with 3.1.1 and 3.2.1. If necessary, a flat surface is made on the measuring rod to avoid contact with the bottom of the spline. 5.4 When the actual diameter of the measuring rod selected is different from the diameter listed in the standard, the maximum value MRimax and minimum value MRimin of the internal spline rod spacing, the minimum value MRernin and maximum value MRetnax of the external spline span rod spacing, shall be calculated according to the actual measuring rod diameter. 6 Limit value of the average length w of the common normal line
6.1 The limit value of the average length W of the common normal line of external splines with a module of 0.5 to 10 mm, a number of teeth of 10 to 100, a tolerance grade of 4 to 7, and a basic deviation of h is shown in Tables 29 to 42.
