This standard specifies the determination method for the total amount of water-soluble chloride in YFeO2 magnetic powder for magnetic recording HG/T2347.6-92
This standard is applicable to the determination of water-soluble chloride content in YFeO2 magnetic powder and modified powder for magnetic recording 2 Method Summary
The silver nitrate solution titration method is adopted.
3 Reagents and solutions
All reagents used are analytically pure.
3.1 Standard silver nitrate titration solution: c (AgNO) -0.01mol/L: 3.2 Potassium chromate solution:

Take at least two samples for parallel determination, 5.1 Weigh 10g of Y.FeO and magnetic powder sample (accurate to 0.001g), put it in a 500mL beaker, add 150mL distilled water, stir and boil for 5min, filter with a glass filter while hot, and rinse the Y, FeO and magnetic powder on the filter with hot distilled water 5~6 times. Transfer the filtrate to a 250mL volumetric flask, add distilled water to the scale, shake well, and set aside. 5.2 Use a pipette to draw 50mL of filtrate, inject it into a 250mL conical flask, add 1mL of potassium chromate solution, and slowly titrate with silver nitrate standard titration solution under sufficient shaking until the light reddish brown color does not disappear, and record the volume of silver nitrate standard titration solution consumed Vi
Blank test, add 1mL of potassium chromate solution to 50mL of distilled water, and use silver nitrate standard titration solution to drop until the color is consistent with the previous titration, and record the volume of silver nitrate standard titration solution consumed V. The endpoint can also be determined by potentiometric titration. 6 Calculation of determination results
