This standard specifies the type, basic parameters, technical requirements, inspection rules, etc. of the orange smoke signal for ships using a pull trigger. 3.1 Type and size
3.1.1 Orange smoke signals for ships are floating smoke pyrotechnic signals ignited by a pull trigger. Its main components include: a.
orange signal charge;
ignition charge;
transition charge;
shell;
connector;
safety cover.
3.1.2 The signal charge should be composed of organic pigment, oxidant, combustible agent, etc. 3.1.3 The outer diameter of the ship's orange smoke signal shall not exceed 100mm, the total length shall not exceed 200mm, and the total weight shall not exceed 800g. 3.2 Marking example
The duration of smoke spray shall not be less than 3min, and the visible distance shall not be less than 2nmile. The marking of the ship's orange smoke signal (CCY) is: CCY 3-2 GB 3107.8—91
4 Technical requirements
4.1 The manufacture of ship's color smoke signal shall comply with the technical requirements of Chapter 4 of GB3107.1. 4.2 The technical performance of this product shall meet the following requirements:
After ignition, this product shall float on the water surface and shall be able to emit orange smoke evenly and continuously; a.
The continuous time of orange smoke shall not be less than 3 minutes, and the visible distance shall not be less than 2nmile; b.
When ignited, no flame spray or explosion shall be produced; c.
The color of smoke shall be in accordance with the diagram specified by the International Commission on Illumination, and the chromaticity area limit shall be within the following angle coordinate range (see Table 1): d.

4.3 This product shall be able to work effectively after repeating 10 cycles at an ambient temperature of -30~~+65℃. 4.4 This product shall be able to withstand low temperature of -30℃ and high temperature of +65℃, and work effectively at this ambient temperature. 4.5 This product should be able to work effectively in any sea conditions with a high temperature of +65C and a relative humidity of 90%. 4.6 This product should be able to work effectively when immersed in water for about 24 hours. 0.645
4.7 After emitting smoke for 1 minute, this product should continue to emit smoke after being submerged in water for 10 seconds and then float to the surface. The total smoke emission time should be no less than 3 minutes. 4.8 This product should be able to withstand the salt spray test of 20% NaCI solution. 4.9 This product should be applied in water covered with a 2mm heptane layer, and the smoke signal should be able to work without burning or exploding. 4.10 This product is still in a safe state after falling freely from a height of 2m, and should work effectively when applied. After ignition and burning, it should not harm the operator and any nearby personnel. 4.11 The shell material of this product is made of metal sheet or equivalent material, and the surface of the metal sheet shell should be treated with anti-corrosion and anti-rust. 4.12 The safety cover is made of plastic and should be easy to pull and twist during use within the validity period, but should not be loose. 5 Test method
The test method of this product shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 5 of GB3107.1. 6 Inspection rules
6.1 The inspection rules of this product shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 6 of GB3107.1. 6.2 When this product is first produced without obtaining the approval certificate, each batch of 240 pieces shall be considered as a batch; after obtaining the approval certificate, each batch of 480 pieces shall be considered as a batch. 6.3 The factory inspection items, technical requirements and sampling quantity of this product shall be in accordance with the requirements of Table 2.
