-Part 2: Verticality and flatness;
Part 3: Size and density;bZxz.net
Part 4: Average fiber diameter;
-Part 5: Slag ball content;
-Part 6: Acidity coefficient;

This part is Part 7 of GB/T5480.
GB/T5480.7--2004
This revision adopts ASTMC1104/C1104M-1995 "Test Method for Water Vapor Adsorption of Unfaced Mineral Fiber Insulation Materials". The technical elements of measurement are the same as those of ASTMC1104/C1104M-1995, the instructions and term definitions related to hygroscopicity test are omitted, and editorial modifications are made. The structural differences between this part and ASTMC1104/C1104M-1995 are shown in Appendix A. This part replaces GB/T5480.7--1987 "Test Method for Hygroscopicity of Mineral Wool and Its Products". The main changes of this part compared with GB/T5480.7--1987 are as follows: the sample size is changed to not less than 150mm×150mm, and the accuracy requirements of the balance are modified accordingly; the test method for hygroscopicity of loose filling materials is added; the way of weighing the sample after hygroscopicity is changed.
Appendix A of this part is informative.
Please note that some contents of this standard may involve patents; the issuing organization of this standard shall not bear the responsibility of identifying these patents. This part was proposed by China Building Materials Industry Association. This part is under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee for Standardization of Thermal Insulation Materials (SAC/TC191). Drafting unit of this part: Nanjing Glass Fiber Research and Design Institute. Main drafters of this part: Zeng Naiquan, Ge Dunshi, Chen Shang, Zhang You. This part was first issued in April 1987.
1 Scope

Part 7: Hygroscopicity
GB/T 5480.7--2004
This part specifies the instrument, test specimen, test steps, calculation and expression of test results for the test method of hygroscopicity of mineral wool and its products.
This part is applicable to the testing of mineral wool and its products used in high humidity environments. It is not applicable to products with coverings. 2 Normative references

GB/T5480.1--2004 Test methods for mineral wool and its products Part 1: General 3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions established in Chapter 3 of GB/T5480.1-2004 apply to this part. 4 Test conditions
According to the provisions of Chapter 4 of GB/T5480.1--2004. 5 Instruments
5.1 Balance: The graduation value shall not be greater than 0.1% of the mass to be weighed. 5.2 Electric blast drying oven.
5.3 Temperature and humidity control box: temperature fluctuation is not more than ±2℃, relative humidity fluctuation is not more than ±3%, and there is no condensation in the sample area inside the box. 5.4 Dryer.
5.5 Metal ruler: graduation value is 1mm.
5.6 Needle thickness gauge: graduation value is 1mm, pressure of the pressure plate is 49Pa. 5.7 Sample bag: made of polyethylene film, its size is enough to accommodate the sealed sample. 5.8 Sample box: made of non-absorbent and non-corrosive material, with a sealable lid. The size of the sample box is about 150mm×150mmX50mm, used to hold loose samples. 6 Samples
Select samples according to the provisions of Chapter 5 of GB/T5480.1-2004. The size of the plate sample should be convenient for weighing and placing in the temperature and humidity control box, and shall not be less than 150mm×150mm, and the thickness is the original thickness. The length of the tubular specimen shall not be less than 150 mm, the size of the arc part shall be suitable for testing, and the thickness shall be the original thickness. The loose fiber specimen shall be placed in the sample box specified in 5.8 according to the nominal volume density. The surface of the specimen shall be clean and free of mechanical damage.
Number of specimens: 3, or as specified in the product standard. 7 Test steps
7.1 Method A (applicable to mineral wool products such as felt, board and tube shell) GB/T 5480.7-2004
Measure the dimensions of the product with a metal ruler and a needle-shaped thickness gauge. If necessary, the volume can be calculated according to the nominal thickness instead of the measured thickness, but it must be stated in the report. Place the specimen in an electric blast drying oven at a temperature of (105±5)℃ and dry it to constant weight (the difference between two consecutive weighings shall not exceed 0.2% of the mass of the specimen). When the specimen contains components that are volatile or changeable at this temperature, it can be dried to constant weight at a lower temperature. Record the mass of the specimen and the drying temperature. Place the sample in the electric hot air drying oven again, and make it reach a uniform temperature in an environment with a temperature not lower than 60℃, and then place the sample in a temperature and humidity control box. Keep it in a temperature and humidity control box with a temperature of (50±2)℃, a relative humidity of (95±3)%, and air circulation for (96±4)h. Immediately after taking it out, place it in a pre-weighed sample bag, seal the bag mouth, and weigh it after cooling to room temperature. After deducting the bag weight, record the mass of the sample after mixing. 7.2 Method B (applicable to loose mineral wool products) Place the loosely filled mineral wool product that has been dried to a constant weight in a sample box with a constant weight, adjust it to the nominal volume density, and weigh it. Record the mass of the sample before moisture absorption. Open the lid, let the sample return to a uniform temperature of not lower than 60℃, and place it in a temperature and humidity control box, with the sample box placed horizontally. Keep in a temperature and humidity control box with a temperature of (50±2)℃, a relative humidity of (95±3)%, and air circulation for (96±4)h. Seal the sample box, take it out, cool it to room temperature, and weigh it. Deduct the weight of the box and record the mass of the sample after moisture absorption. 8 Calculation and expression of test results
8.1 Mass moisture absorption rate
Calculate according to formula (1):
W1——mass moisture absorption rate, in percentage (%); m - m2 × 100
ml—mass of the sample after moisture absorption, in kilograms (kg); m2
mass of the dry sample, in kilograms (kg). 8.2 Volume moisture absorption rate
Calculate according to formula (2):
x100 =(m-100
1 000 X V2
W2—volume moisture absorption rate, in percentage (%); volume occupied by water in the sample, in cubic meter (m\); Vi-
V—volume of the sample, in cubic meter (m2); bulk density of the sample, in kilograms per cubic meter (kg/m); 1000—density of water, in kilograms per cubic meter (kg/m2). 8.3 The test results
are expressed as average values, accurate to one decimal place. When reporting the volume moisture absorption rate, the mass moisture absorption rate and density of the sample should also be reported. 9 Test records
According to the provisions of Chapter 6 of GB/T5480.1-2004. 2
