Summary:
This standard specifies the limits of electric and magnetic field strength of high-frequency electromagnetic fields in the workplace, i.e., the hygiene standards and their test methods. This standard applies to all types of operations involving high-frequency electromagnetic field radiation, but does not apply to environmental radiation and radiation for occupational therapy/diagnosis purposes. Some standard content:
GB185552001
This standard is formulated for the first time based on experimental research, on-site labor hygiene survey data, and reference to relevant foreign standards. It forms a whole with the National Standard Hygiene Standard for Microwave Radiation in Workplaces (GB10436-1989) and the Hygiene Standard for Ultrahigh Frequency Radiation in Workplaces (GB10437-1989), and is used as a standard for electromagnetic radiation environment monitoring and health supervision in workplaces. This standard shall be implemented from May 1, 2002. Appendix A of this standard is the appendix of the standard.
This standard is proposed by the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China. The drafting unit of this standard: Zhejiang University.
The main drafters of this standard are Yao Gengdong, Jiang Huai, and Shao Binjie. This standard is entrusted to the Institute of Labor Hygiene and Occupational Diseases of the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine for interpretation. 709

Occupational exposure limit for high frequency field in the work environmentGB18555—2001
This standard specifies the limits of electric field and magnetic field strength of high frequency electromagnetic field in the work environment, i.e., the hygiene standard and its test method. This standard is applicable to all kinds of operations involving high frequency electromagnetic field radiation, but not to environmental radiation and radiation for treatment/diagnosis purposes.
2 Definitions
This standard adopts the following definitions.
2.1 High frequency electromagnetic field High frequency field Electromagnetic field with a frequency of 100 kHz~30 MHz and a corresponding wavelength of 3 km~10 m. 3 Hygiene requirements
The electric field strength and magnetic field strength of high frequency electromagnetic field radiation allowed by the operator's operating position shall comply with the provisions listed in Table 1. Table 1 Allowable contact intensity of high-voltage electric and magnetic fields in the workplace Frequency

Electric field strength
The test method of electromagnetic field strength at the operator's operating position is shown in Appendix A (Appendix of the standard). Approved by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China on December 4, 2001 710

Appendix A
(Appendix to the standard)
Specification for measurement of high-frequency electromagnetic fields
This specification applies to the measurement of electromagnetic field strength at the operating position of high-frequency operators, and the measurement of leakage energy of high-frequency equipment. A2 Measuring instruments
Select measuring instruments with range and frequency band coverage suitable for the objects to be tested, that is, high-frequency field strength meters with a range that can cover (10~~1000)V/m and (0.5~50)A/m, and a frequency band that can cover 100kHz~30MHz. Measuring instruments should be calibrated regularly (usually 1~2 years) by a nationally recognized metrology and testing department.
A3 Measurement position
A3.1 Field strength measurement at the operating position, usually the position equivalent to the head and chest is used as a representative: when some parts may be exposed to stronger radiation during operation, such as the position equivalent to the limbs or abdomen, additional measurements should be made. A3.2 When it is necessary to explore the main source of leakage, high-frequency equipment energy measurement should be performed, that is, measurement should be performed around the equipment (within the close range of the instrument tolerance). Generally, high-frequency equipment is shielded by a shell. When measuring equipment leakage energy, the shell must not be opened, but can only be measured from far to near within the shell. However, the target object cannot be within 5cm at the nearest. When the field strength is found to be close to the full range or the instrument alarms, it should be stopped immediately to avoid damaging the probe. The measured value is only for reference during protection. A3.3 Measurement method
A3.3.1 Hold the measuring instrument, place the detection probe at the position to be measured, and rotate the probe to the direction of the maximum reading. No one should be within 1m around the probe or other metal objects should be temporarily placed; magnetic measurement is not subject to this restriction. A3.3.2 Each measuring point is measured three times continuously. The measurement time for each measurement should not be less than 15 seconds. The maximum value of the stable state should be read. If the measurement reading fluctuates greatly, the measurement time should be appropriately extended. The average of the three values is taken as the field strength value of the point: A3.3.3 Measurement record
In addition to recording all measurement data, it should also include: measurement location (unit, factory name, workshop and specific measurement location), measurement time, measurement date (temperature, relative humidity), measurement instrument model, high-frequency equipment type and parameters, and personnel participating in the measurement. 711
